Hi everyone. I haven't ever tracked ovulation before but I bought some cheap ovulation strips from Savers. 5 for £1 so I didn't really rely on them.

On Sunday at 10am I had a really strong positive with both lines very dark. Then by 1pm the test line was really faint again so negative.

We DTD on Friday and also on Sunday night. Is that enough? I thought it was but now I@ve read that the positive ovulation test means you haven't ovulated yet so you need to start dtd from then.

My other half isn't well so we can't dtd now so what I'm asking is if the kit was positive on Sunday morning and we dtd on Friday night and Sunday night will that be OK???

When it goes postive (so both lines as dark as Eachother) u will ovulate in next 12-36 hours. So good idea to DTD that day and 2 days after to cover all bases. It's good to do it a before too though as after you ovulate u can't get preg -sperm have to be sitting there waiting!
So yes Friday and Sunday might have done it, u only need one sperm!

A positive opk means you have had the hormonal surge that goes before ovulation. And sex in the few days before you ovulate is best (because sperm can live a few days but eggs cannot). So if you did ovulate, you had sex at the right time. But it is possible to have the surge and not ovulate, or to have two or more surges and ovulate after the last one. So, for your best chance, don't stop until you are certain you have ovulated or keep having sex every few days (once your partner is better, of course). Good luck!
