What does OV ^feel^ like???

Just that really....

I mean, I know not everybody feels it but if you do, what does it feel like?

I have random feelings around my ovaries area but that can be at any time in the month... (not a 28 dayer though so could be irrelevant). Sometimes the pain could be a dull ache or cripplingly sharp...

Also.. why am I also 30 and apparently know NOTHING about my body???

Ha! I am 31 this Friday and only found out in the past two months you can only fall preggers within a certain time frame! Bless my poor little naïve brain!! lol

Since TTC I notice NOTHING anymore. But before, god, I had sore boobs, back aches, Lots of CM, Now - not a sausage!!!!

RaspberryMilk · 07/01/2015 11:53

I blame it on the education school and parents!!! I was informed that if I even dared look at a boy in a provocative manner, I would instantly be pregnant or die.... LIARS!!!

I'm the other way around - how have I never noticed fertile CM before?! It has been so obvious since ttc, that there is no way that I couldn't have noticed it before?? Bizarre! Did you feel ovulation before glitterylipgloss?

No idea. Much older that you and never noticed any patterns. Ever. My body is a mysterious book mostly filled with nonsense.

Karelia81 · 07/01/2015 13:18

I used to get a sharp, stabbing pain on one side or the other which I eventually worked out was related to ov. That is the only sign I've ever known - and yes, I was under the impression for years that you could get pregnant at any time. I think a lot of info was skipped over in school...

GlitteryLipgloss · 07/01/2015 15:12

Yep. My old work colleague would laugh at me as I would predict what side I was ovulating from because of the niggles/dull ache. Each month it would alternate. Now usually up until the last three months - was the right side.

I agree. If I'd known all those years ago I would never of worried/bought tests and fretted what my parents would've said! lol

I also 'used' to get such bad pmt....tears, angst, road rage, now...nothing. I just plod along now. nothing really bothers me anymore. Maybe I am chilling out in my old age! :)

I have been getting slight scratchy sensations in the last day or so.

I'm a 26 dayer. might give up with the opk sticks though and just go by my CM. when it appears anyway. Started to wear black knickers as I find it shows a bit more than white. x

BumWad · 07/01/2015 16:53

I am massively bloated and farty the day I'm ovulating, it's really weird actually. Smile

cantbelieveimdoingthisagain · 07/01/2015 20:56

Good idea with the black Knicks!

And I am almost crying at your post in relation to your name bumwad

BabyBumpHopeful · 08/01/2015 03:15

I get a cramp in my side and I can be heard to whine "my ovaries hurt". I find I feel my left more than my right.

MrsCrumbtious · 08/01/2015 16:58

I get what feels like bad constipation on my left hand side which I'm sure is ovulation and not a "poo baby" lol xx

GlitzAndGigglesx · 08/01/2015 17:04

I used to get mild cramping on my left side. I also only found out within the last 6m that its best to ttc during ov Blush

Keyhawk · 08/01/2015 21:34

I get a really crampy pain in my side which can be really uncomfortable! I also feel as if I need to poo or that I am constipated (even when I am not). I also get EWCM for 3-4 days a month. The side pain usually accompanies the last day of EWCM so I count that as my proper ovulation day! X

NotADaffodil · 10/01/2015 20:43

Another one here who didn't realise that there's only a small window every month in which to get upduffed Blush

In the days leading up to ovulation I get more and more bloated (and yes, farty) and I crave carbs like you wouldn't believe. The day before I feel really irritable and the smallest thing can set me off into floods of tears.

The irony of being a bloated, farting, crying mess at the most fertile time!! Grin

Observer78 · 13/01/2015 23:53

Horny. We have a newborn and cannot be asked to brush my hair , let alone DTD, but comes mid-month or thereabouts, OH in his baby puke stained t-shirt starts to look mighty fine.
Was like this pre-baby, just not so intense. Suppose all hormones are still floating through.

The bloatiness and chocolate cravings come a week or so before AF is due.

Focusfocus · 17/01/2015 21:54

For me ovulation is always the same stuff each month -

  1. EWCM from about Day 10
  2. Dull one sided persistent ache usually left side on somewhere around day 11/12 (this I have learnt through years is not Ov for me rather follicles maturing)
  3. Massively sharp twangy pain on one side about day 13/14 and that's ovulation. I can pinpoint it by the exact hour hehe. After that all EWCM disappears.

PS: TMI but the entire time I am crampy on one side throughout all this, I am also wildly farty. As in cramped ovaries and I literally feel myself farting out of it. No idea why but that's another symptoms of Omfor me.

First time ever TTC this week so hoping all this disgusting knowledge comes in use
