Is it possible for conception to happen 5 days after intercourse?

Says it all really. Am pregnant (6 weeks) and early scan suggests conception on day 14, although intercourse not after day 9...................

yes sperm can live 5 days

and your egg can survive 24 hours too.....as you have conceived ,,,it is definitely possible!

lulu mama what I was worried about was that I had in fact conceived on day 9 and that the sac had stopped growing and was therefore showing small for my dates......

yes - i was the same and having assisted conception - i ovulated 5+ days after sex and have a little boy to prove it!

Apparantly some sperm can live for up to a week if the conditions are right.
