Can you delay ovulation?

I have a hycosy booked in 10 days time, which coincides with when I expect to ovulate (inasmuch as I can ever predict it!!).

Is there a natural way for me to delay ovulation till after? I can't bear to miss a month (even though I have been trying unsuccessfully for about 2 years!!). Would soy isoflavones lengthen my cycle??

Soy is supposed to bring ovulation forward, not delay it.

No, you cannot delay it and I would strongly advise against trying it. Having a regular cycle can help planning so why would you eant to throw it out of whack? I'd love to be back to being regular!

Unfortunately my cycles haven't been regular for about 15 years, but for the first time in ages I have had a proper period, which I was hoping would be followed by an ovulatory cycle.

Throwing it out of whack isn't really a problem for me, more that I only have about 3 eggs left and I didn't want to waste any by abstaining for a month while I have my tubes tested.

Sigh. Never mind!
