Hi! I'm a newbie, I have overcome my fear of posting and sounding daft!
My husband and I have just started trying to conceive! This cycle is our first go . Should find out next week if we had beginners luck, although feeling some niggly cramps so think it's probably not very likely

Here comes the daft bit
I was painting my toe nails last night and suddenly thought, "OMG is this bad in case I am pregnant?" and swiftly removed it, only to start worrying about the chemicals in the remover!!!

OK... so I sound neurotic. I am. But I just don't want to do anything wrong.

Does anyone know if it's terribly bad or is it ok to paint away?
Thanks gals!

relax! if this really was a problem we'd all have to spend our time trussed up in a roll of bubble wrap, only getting 'unfurled' when it was time for a bonk!

I painted my toenails (or had them painted for me) all the way through my pregnancies and throughout trying to conceive too.

Just enjoy the freedom of being able to shag without worrying about contraception and try not to worry or get wound up. (There's plenty of time and opportunity to do this when you do get pregnant!)

aw bless - paint away (and colour your hair too while you're at it). this makes me smile as I remember what it was like to worry about things like that :-) good luck ttc r4m

Hi r4m - I may also be testing next week at earliest but will be trying to hold out until beginning of following week if I can (and if AF doesn't make an unwelcome appearance!). Will keep an eye out to see how you go. You should join the October thread too for lots of moral support! Good luck!

Thanks so much. I did such a good job of my toe nails too. Wish I hadn't been such a neurotic and panicked!!
I am so pleased I posted.
I will look out for you PinkButterfly, fingers crossed for you.
I have been enjoying the freedom of no contraception
