The smallprint –
Berries have a strict entrance criteria (TTC #1, over 30, TTC for 12+ months, NO instadiffers, must have a special pot and definitely no mention of baby dust or baby dancing).
Those not abiding by the rules may be escorted from the premises.

Erm minx apologies for my essay, I realise you had only asked about waiting times and I've given you my FC history! Xmas Confused

happylass · 29/12/2014 21:07

25 weeks Lady?!? - that's flown!!
Beaky I too am in Ireland. Over for a little New Year's break with DH.
Do we need a list of everyone who's having treatment in the near future? I'm starting to lose track!

OP posts:
greatbigbushybeard · 29/12/2014 21:41

Glad it went well gil

minx I don't blame you for crying, hope you are feeling better now.

nolly3 · 29/12/2014 22:26

Hope today went well rain.

happy are you revving up again? lost track sorry.

beaky how are you feeling about next go round? I'm ok, thanks for checking. Really scared and had a huge freak out yesterday when had some spotting, decided I was out the game and had a small weep (very out of character). but seems to have been a false alarm so far. only 5+2 so still really early days. Away now on hols til Monday so if still, you know, sticking there, then I might get in touch with the clinic to let them know and see about an early scan. Not sure it'll help the mental thoguh - I mean what if it's bad news? took two and a half bloody years to get to this point!

anyway, have a good week ladies, enjoy NY!

WildflowerMarmalade · 29/12/2014 22:40

Aww, thanks for the Berry support there. I did need a virtual Berry hug there. DH is back from his mum's now and things seem smoother (it's a bit hard to tell as we are at my DPs so on best behaviour iykwim). On the up side, I got out of visiting DMil, who is high maintenance + has been chatting about how her youngest son has promised her another grandchild by the time he moves back to the UK. Grrr.

Nolly your comment on your DH's work being 'all family stabbings' at the moment made me laugh. Terrible for those people, obviously, but I have a dark sense of humour.

Minx you poor thing. Hope you are snuggled up at home safe and sound, possibly in bed with a bottle of wine.

Also, just a general tip, do not attempt to watch spy films with complicated plot twists when you are in the company of your DPs who are in their seventies. DM tonight was totally confused when the Allies won the war in Confused Yesterday, DF suddenly said 90 minutes in to The Good Shepherd ,'Why has Angelina Jolie taken over the lead role?' - er 'cause she's been in the film from the beginning!? I despair.

nolly3 · 29/12/2014 22:43

my best in law film moment was last year when we put on Shawn of the dead. dfil: what filum is this (irish accent)? is this the filum with the horse?

nolly3 · 29/12/2014 22:44

wild last year oh had a guy come in on boxing day after being stabbed by his brother on Christmas day. he decided to sleep on it and see if he felt better.

he was stabbed in the stomach.

IamKuma · 29/12/2014 22:53

Wild Glad to hear DH is back; things get so tough after a long time TTC. DH and I have never argued in 6 years of being together, but this last month, after the second cancelled IVF cycle things really got tense - it was horrible. I even found that trying to explain why I was angry or wound up didn't really help either as we seem to get upset by different aspects of it. On Christmas day I was struggling to keep it together as I was feeling sad, but he totally misunderstood what I was feeling and though I was just annoyed with his family, so he was cross with me. But when everybody is there you can't just start explaining yourself. Hopefully there is light at the end of the tunnel for all of us.

Lady wow, that has gone really quickly, where did the time go? I'm sure it hasn't felt that fast for you though! I hope you are feeling calm and well at the moment.

Nolly stay strong!

Smidge that sounds like one tight schedule, hope everything runs on time and you can get started once you're back home.

Finally got out of the office just after 8pm, have had a burger at the pub though so feel less stressed by it all now. One more day, then off again till Monday :)

For the stats; if AF arrives on time and bloods are good then next try for natural cycle will be about 19th Jan. Fingers and toes crossed that having two cycles since the last lot of blood tests things will have settled down.

WildflowerMarmalade · 30/12/2014 00:13

Shock nolly , stabbed in the stomach! I sort of admire the guy for waiting the night before going to hospital - or maybe he was just used to that sort of thing.

Good that you got a burger down you Kuma - protein has got to be good, no? Just hope your colleagues keep up to the mark and there is no work stress for now. You are so right about TTC being a strain that is very hard to explain even to your partner.

nolly3 · 30/12/2014 08:36

I think he was maybe not one of life's over-achievers, wild

Gillster · 30/12/2014 10:17

Did someone say a list?

On the racecourse:
Funky started stimming 29th Dec, long protocol IVF, (1st timer)
HB started DR 25th Dec, long protocol IVF (2nd go)

Limbering up in the parade ground:
Beaky long protocol IVF starting 5th Jan, (1st timer after giving IUI a go)
Smidge long protocol IVF starting 10 Jan (3rd go)
Kuma natural cycle IVF starting 19th Jan (2nd go)
Happy short protocol ICSI starting Jan (2nd go)
Barking IUI starting Jan (2nd go)
Wild IVF starting Jan (long or short?) (1st timer after giving IUI a go)
Gill natural cycle FET, ET expected 1st/2nd week FEB (4th go after 1 cancelled IVF cycle and 2 cancelled chemical FET cycles due to womb of doom)
Jelli donor egg IVF, EC in Feb, (3rd IVF, 1st DE IVF)

Still in the stables:
Rain IVF referral end Dec
Lumen having 6 month break after 2 IVFs, checking out new FCs
Tiger having break until April whilst rocking the new job in the big smoke
Minx lap and dye start of Jan
Tammy (any investigations Tammy?)

I hope I haven't missed anyone and that your details are correct? Once people firm up their dates we can update the list accordingly! Good luck Berries, let's make 2015 our year!!

happylass · 30/12/2014 10:26

Great list. Good job Gil! Busy times ahead in Berry HQ. Fx for us all.

OP posts:
tigerdog · 30/12/2014 10:50

Cheers for the list gill. I agree, 2015 should be a great year for the berries. We've done our time!

nolly Shock at Christmas family stabbings, although I can see how it might happen! Xmas Grin Yep, pretty quiet at work, didn't do much yesterday but a few more people are in today so will have to knuckle down and get a few things done right after I've been on mumsnet

minx families eh. Christmas is a time of peace and goodwill, right? HAHAHAHA!! I usually find that, despite my best intentions, it is a time of family arguments, crap gifts, overindulgence, and healthy dose of comparing yourself to others who appear to be having a better time than you, as probably falsely publicised on the medium of facebook!

gill I'm in the Midlands with Mr T. Less than two weeks until I start the new job, gulp!

kuma glad you managed to de-stress in the pub!

smidge sounds as though everything is lining up nicely. Third time lucky like pip?

beaky that sounds exactly like my OH. He has given up and thinks IVF is the answer, whereas I would do anything not to have to go through it.

Neighbours drinks party had 6 screaming kids at it. Not sure why I didn't expect that to be the case. Of course, lots of 'do you have kids' questions. Mr T then went off to the pub with the menfolk.

Well, it's shag week, and by my reckoning I ovulate today. We haven't really been getting on it because we are both ill, but it is the last chance before I start my new job (and might struggle to time dtd each month) so didn't want to miss out. Anyway, at 10pm Mr T wasn't back from the pub, so I rang him a couple of times to try and entice him away. Eventually he came back at 11pm, drunk. We then dtd, and at one point, Mr T fell off the bed, and smacked me in the mouth on the way down. I now have a fat lip and a cut on the inside of my mouth! Less than impressed this morning, although it was hysterically funny at the time!

Utlimately, it wasn't successful, so I had to jump him this morning before work. If we managed to concieve a child out of this farcical performance then it really would be a Christmas miracle!

You are the only people I could share this with!!

Gillster · 30/12/2014 11:01

LOL at the bedroom antics Tiger! Has anyone asked about your fat lip today? Hope you had a cover story prepared. Given the start of this thread, it wouldn't surprise me if you did get a BFP.

tigerdog · 30/12/2014 11:18

Well, here's hoping gill! I think the fat lip just blends in with the general puffy faced ill look that I am currently rocking, so no one has said anything!

Just got my AMH result, 22.9 which is apparently normal and decent for my age (34) according to the nurse on the phone. Can anyone suggest a decent site for me to check out the reference ranges for myself?

GrinGrinGrin at Tiger - we had similar issues during our IUI cycle when the FC suggested DTD just in case of an early OV. I somehow hit DH in the eye, twice. It has never happened before or since. Grim determination gets you through, but it is far from romantic. Hilarious though, as you say.

IamKuma · 30/12/2014 13:11

Gill Thanks for the new list!

Tiger if the photo works it shows the thresholds published on the AMH results sheet from the lab, including my dire result of 1.6 ... sorry if you are on your phone... can't be bothered to type Wink

tigerdog · 30/12/2014 13:15

Thanks Kuma. Suggests I have satisfactory fertility which backs up what I read online. Also found reference to median ranges according to age on a document published by the lister, which suggests I'm doing ok for my age.

Smidge001 · 30/12/2014 18:00

Yes tiger I'm sure there is a graph which shows the average level vs age, but I'm afraid any documentation I have is back down under so I can't go and check. But I'm pretty sure anything over 20 is good especially once you get to mid thirties. I think mine was roughly around that level at 37 - don't dare think what it is now though 18montha later and 3 rounds of clomid and 2 IVFs later... I'm sure I must have spewed out most of the eggs I had left by now!

Hilarious bedroom antics btw - bet you're glad it didn't happen just before you started your new job BlushGrin

Thanks for the updated list Gill. And yes please to 3rd time lucky!

beakybeak · 30/12/2014 21:07

Ahh Nolly after all this I'm not surprised you're nervous but I am sending positive berry vibes for you! I love the stabby brother story, so bizarre though. I am fine about the IVF although had a stressy couple of days worrying about it and having "words" with dh about him giving up on the natural route. I just want to crack on but I am nervous about it not working.

Tiger sorry about the neighbours party being full of kids and questions. I did just lol on the ferry there reading about your ttc accident then again when I read Wilds! How on earth some things happen I'll never know. Dh one time managed to "miss" at the crucial moment.... he would die if he read this anyway, your amh result sounds very promising, hopefully this will be your month and you'll have a hilarious story if you ever feel like over sharing in rl Xmas Grin

gil thanks for the brilliant list, very helpful! are you recovering from your op ok?

Minx will pm you shortly!

kuma 6 years without any arguments deserves a medal! Glad you got sorted for work although how annoying that your colleague hadn't done his bit.

Wild glad you got sorted with your dh and what a happy coincidence that the required time apart fell during an inlaw visit Xmas Grin recently I've found that we are both so stressed about ttc it's easier to not think/talk about it. Not ideal but it's like relationship preservation!

I was told to hurry up and get going on a family today. Argh. People are so ignorant sometimes.

HB how's the dr going?

Funky if you're reading, how's stimming going?

Pipbin · 30/12/2014 21:29

Are all the berries having fertility treatment? We need a recruitment drive!

Trillium73 · 31/12/2014 09:27

Good morning all! I'm not posting much these days (nothing to report really) but still reading and trying to keep up with everyone Xmas Smile. Love the list gill can you add me please?? Still waiting for my review appointment after my failed IVF, will hopefully try again in the spring, also looking at other clinics (communication at my current clinic hasn't been great and it just adds to the stress!).

What's everyone up to for New Year? We're just having a quiet one, I'll struggle to stay up tbh!! Here's hoping 2015 is the year we all get our BFPs Grin

tigerdog · 31/12/2014 09:35

We do need a recruitment drive otherwise I'll just be posting to myself all the time! Although, once I start my new job I suspect I'll have less time to waste spend on MN.

What are you all doing for NYE? We are staying in, just the two of us, for the second year in a row. I always used to love going out, but with a hound that hates fireworks and both of us full of cold it just doesn't seem worth the effort! My plan is get through today in the office, make a mousakka, have a bath, eat dinner and then indulge in some prosecco and chocolates to see in the new year.

HampshireBlues · 31/12/2014 09:44

Tiger that is the funniest thing I have heard all week (sorry) Mr HB is now looking at me rather oddly for almost choking on my coffee!

Lady I can't believe how quickly things are going, feel free to stick around and give us all encouragement.

All ok here, merrily down regging. I've decided that I really didn't like microgynon though as I haven't had a single day where I haven't had some spotting. Oh well, scan one is planned for a week on Friday so hopefully we can move on to stimming this time Xmas Smile. I do, however now have two weeks off so am looking forward to hopefully switching off as next year is going to be a manic one.

If I don't get back to post later on, Happy New Year Berries. Thank you so much for supporting me for the last year, you have been there when so many of my real life friends have fallen by the wayside. I truly hope that 2015 brings us our BFPs
