The smallprint –
Berries have a strict entrance criteria (TTC #1, over 30, TTC for 12+ months, NO instadiffers, must have a special pot and definitely no mention of baby dust or baby dancing).
Those not abiding by the rules may be escorted from the premises.

I hear you Tiger. We have MIL staying. She is lovely but arrrrgh anyway. She reads the Daily Mail, I can't get her to understand that forins can't be both stealing our jobs and claiming our benefits.

tigerdog · 28/12/2014 16:49

Actually my family were lovely today, they are just impossible to organise! Finally on the way back home after 10 days away, can't wait to snuggle up on the sofa with Mr T and the hound, have a bath and sleep in my own bed!!

Gillster · 29/12/2014 12:16

Afternoon Berries. Hope you are all enjoying the Christmas break so far. I'm just recovering from my hysteroscopy earlier this morning. Feel a bit more "with it" compared to last time which is good. Apparently they've removed a few polyps which is amazing considering they whipped out 2 in October. Hopefully the womb of doom is now rectified and we can commence treatment in a few weeks.

HampshireBlues · 29/12/2014 13:26

Glad you are doing ok Gill and that they have cleared out some intruders. I hope you have are stuff afternoon and are soon on the road to treatment.

happylass · 29/12/2014 14:37

Glad to hear all went well Gil and they've removed the pesky polyps once again. Take it easy Brew

gill glad to hear the procedure was a success. Hopefully you can progress to FET asap now. Make sure you put your feet up and get some rest.

How is everyone else? It seems quiet in here, but I guess our numbers are reduced following the success of the most recent cluster diff! Us next please, eh.

I'm still feeling poorly and watching the clock so that I can race out of the door at 4pm!

Pipbin · 29/12/2014 15:26

Good news Gill.

Gillster · 29/12/2014 15:26

Why are you racing out the door at 4pm Tiger?

Currently ensconced on sofa eating Christmas chocolate and ordering DH around Xmas Grin

tigerdog · 29/12/2014 15:43

Out the door of the office gill! I'm back at work and bored! My neighbours are doing festive drinks tonight, so I'll be collecting a bottle of wine, and then heading over there!

Eating chocolate and ordering people around sounds like my idea of heaven!

Gillster · 29/12/2014 15:56

Ah, makes sense Tiger - leg it! Enjoy your festive drinks.

IamKuma · 29/12/2014 16:25

I'm glad to hear everything went well Gill Smile. fingers crossed for a FET for you shortly.

Tiger I'm back at work too and it sucks. looks like I'll be in late too as a colleague hasn't done some work he was supposed to finish this year and isn't back until the 5th. I've emailed him too and he's been totally unhelpful Angry Angry Angry

ladybunnikins · 29/12/2014 16:47

That's great news, Gill. So it's a natural cycle FET this time? Fingers crossed for you.

Gillster · 29/12/2014 16:59

Yes Lady, natural cycle FET for us which I am much happier with. Hopefully the polyps will stay away for a few weeks at least! Given that she removed "multiple polyps" they sound fairly prolific. At least with a natural FET, if the timing falls on a weekend (ie when they don't do transfers) we can have a go naturally as we'll know when the LH surge will be. It then feels like we won't be missing out every month even if they don't do a transfer.

Can't be too long left for you now. Not sure you feel the same but it seems to be going quickly for the summer clusterdiff berries.

How annoying re: work Kuma. It annoys me when people don't keep to their deadlines. Remind me when you will get your date for natural IVF firmed up.

Smidge001 · 29/12/2014 17:27

How annoying kuma. I always liked working inbetween Christmas and New Year coz there was never too much to do. Well, I say that - really I still had plenty to do but I got through it quickly as there were no interruptions from anyone else as they were all on hols still! Meant leaving early and plenty of free time to make use of the work printer for home admin needs Xmas Hmm. No good if you have useless colleagues leaving you their work to deal with though.

Rest up Gill. There should be a nice lot of room left in you now for that frozen egg to implant.

Another 10 days or so til I start down regging. Spent the afternoon at a panto with the nephew and niece. flitting between gushing love when I look at them to thinking why the heck do I want two of my own when they bicker

In Aussie news MrS has sent me a message highly pleased that he is not the oldest person on his learn to surf course Grin. In the meantime I've received another reminder for a smear test (their records are completely stuffed up. They constantly remind me despite having been only 15 months ago). I've decided to go on Friday just so they stop sending me reminders. Figure it'll seem easy after all the recent poking about up there.

WildflowerMarmalade · 29/12/2014 17:29

Good news on the polyps Gill - so with the natural cycle FET do they just monitor you with scans and bloods and pop in a defrost when the timing is right?

Enjoy your party tiger - are you back in
London now? Or at home with mrTiger? I'm confused.

Had a shocking row with my DH yesterday. Hmm I just lost it after a combination of Christmas rellies stress and probably some nerves with IVF looming. Ho hum. He's gone off to his mum's today, hopefully he will come back at some point or there will be no IVF at all!

Gillster · 29/12/2014 18:17

Do you start DRing in UK or Oz, Smidge?

Wild - yes they monitor my bloods daily to detect the FSH surge then they defrost the embies. I assume they'll do a dildocam just before to check lining/scan for polyps. Sorry about your row. This process is so tough on our relationships that things are bound to be fraught from time to time. I'm sure it will be fine and a little time from each other will work wonders. X

nolly3 · 29/12/2014 19:19

god news on your polyps gilster. really hope this is it for you this time.

Back at work already tiger? bet it's pretty quiet. my OH is back but he's a shift worker (anaesthetist) so no surprise there. appaerntly it's all christmas family stabbings at the moment. kuma my minion did that. pain in the arse.

How are you doign lumen?

Glad to hear you're on better terms with mr smidge now smidge. feel better about it all?

wild was chortling about al jazeera myself earlier. Christmas relatives can be a real pain in the arse and not one most couples can commiserate with each other on, in my experience. Wine in the mean time?

hallo beaky!

beakybeak · 29/12/2014 19:34

Great news on getting rid of the polyps Gill shame there were a few sprouting though. Fx for a smooth FET for you.

Kuma Tiger boo to being back at work and boo to difficult families. I sometimes thing I could give most of mine a wide berth!

nolly how's things going? What's next for you? Seeing GP? Will you get an early scan?

lady how far along are you now?

Wild me and dh have also had words although we are at his dad's in Ireland so I can't really get any space. I feel quite nervous about starting IVF.... next week eek. I also feel like he has given up hope of a natural bfp in his head and ghat annoys me as clearly I'd rather not have to go through IVF. frustrated honestly, men. Most of them are just selfish.

Rain are you around? Was it your consultation for IVF today? How did you manage your Christmas with the baby in the pub and the differs? Hope it wasn't too awful.

Smidge I am totally with you on the kids thing, if really puts me off when they are so naughty and cheeky etc! When do you head back?

lumen how's things with you?

Ha ha minx Grin sometimes these spelling mistakes are quite amusing!

Gill I start in Oz - literally the day after I arrive. beaky I leave England on Tues 6th Jan, arriving on Thurs 8th (what with the time difference). Arrive just after 7am and have to get my blood test done before 9am that same morning! (Gonna have to swap my usual red wine on the plane for boring water to make sure I'm hydrated enough to give blood!)
Then start injecting the next day - Fri 10th. Eek! Getting excited again... Bloody better work this time!

Thanks Nolly, yes, hubby is sounding better now. He does this - raises concerns under the premise of being open and honest, but then gets over himself while I'm left worrying for several days!! Ah well. At least he's promised to sell his previous wedding ring as a result - win for me Grin. Next time he brings up an issue with my male friends or a legitimate ex I will move on to him getting rid of some old photos tee hee..!

Hope your row is short lived wild, and MrW returns to his supportive and funny self soon.

ladybunnikins · 29/12/2014 20:29

Beaky I'm 25 weeks, still lurking here and hoping more of you get to join the chopper!

Pipbin · 29/12/2014 20:35

Gosh lady time seems to be getting over quickly!

Minx the way mine worked was a referral to women's health where I had all the standard tests, then after our consultation at the end of that they referred me to the IVF unit and I got a letter within 2 weeks to invite us in for a meeting. We were going for iui first (although they don't offer it now due to low success rate) and I kept having reoccurring problems with cysts so I couldn't start the iui that cycle. I eventually did my first iui in September, found out it didn't work in early October and then was put on to the IVF list and had my consultation at the end of November which was very quick all in all. They won't specifically tell you their waiting times when you ask, but overall they seem to be booking in IVF cycles within 2/3 mths of the first consultation. I did a good trawl for info on all of the fc's in our area too and my chosen one had good feedback and has a high success rate too. If you don't mind I'll private message you with which one it is as I feel like I'm on the verge of outing myself on here! Sorry to hear you've had some crappy announcements too, and a twins one! Sad hope you are now enjoying chilling at home with wine!

Smidge that's only a few days after me! Not long now, hopefully it will be bfps all round this time. I think we may want to get a list going soon eh!
