The smallprint –
Berries have a strict entrance criteria (TTC #1, over 30, TTC for 12+ months, NO instadiffers, must have a special pot and definitely no mention of baby dust or baby dancing).
Those not abiding by the rules may be escorted from the premises.

Oh Pip, I'm so sorry. I've only just logged in and seen this and I just can't believe it. You and MrP must be completely shattered, I don't know what to say, it's so awful. Flowers. Will they be able to give you any information about why? Not that knowing would necessarily provide any comfort of course. Oh Sad. I'm so sorry.

Pipbin · 15/01/2015 11:56

Smidge. It seemed it stopped growing just after the 8 week scan. I think the reason why just comes under the heading of 'shit happens'.

WildflowerMarmalade · 15/01/2015 13:17

Thinking of you Piobin. You have been so amazing through all of this and have always shown such a lovely spirit as one of the leading lights of the Berries. You have a bold future before you.

Jellie your typo brought guffaws in the dark times. To me, you will now always be a 'so dirty chick'.

beakybeak · 15/01/2015 20:20

Pip Flowers just want you to know I'm thinking of you.

Nolly how are you doing?

Hope the rest of you berries are doing ok.

Tiger how's the first week going in the new job? I bet you're really looking forward to seeing MrT and puppy T!

HampshireBlues · 15/01/2015 21:16

Evening all. Just thought I'd pop in and see how everyone is doing.

Pip hope you are doing ok.

Happy have you started stimming yet? How are you feeling?

Beaky and Smidge how are you both getting on? When are your first baseline scans?

All okish here I have my first scan tomorrow so will see how how many follicles are cooking. I'm a little nervous as have not been very well with a cold and laryngitis so I'm hoping that it won't have impacted on them

lumen · 15/01/2015 22:32

Best of luck tomorrow hb, let us know how you get on.

Gillster · 16/01/2015 07:08

Fingers crossed HB for some excellent follie action!

happylass · 16/01/2015 07:36

Good luck HB. Fx for lots of lovely follies! I started stabbing on Tuesday. All good so far thanks for asking, early days yet though.
Have a good Friday all.

Good luck hb let us know how you get on.

How's the stabbing going now beaky? Are you avoiding injury?!

So glad it's Friday. Can't wait to get home. First week has been good and also tiring and I've really missed Mr T and the hound.

Only seven measurable follicles at the moment so having a couple of higher doses and rescan on Monday. I'm beginning to think that I sm trying to organise my cycles too much, a delay in the EC would play havoc with work. Oh well, never mind; they'll have to cope!

And.......it's Friday berries, almost the weekend Smile

happylass · 16/01/2015 16:43

HB 7 is a good number! We only had 9 or 10 last time (they couldn't really decide!). My FC looks for between 3 and 15 as any more may compromise the quality. What are you stimming with and how much are you using? When is EC planned for? Please don't stress about work, it's more important that the follies are the right size. Fx for some growing over the weekend!

OP posts:
beakybeak · 16/01/2015 16:54

HB 7 isn't bad at all! What have you been stimming with? Hopefully an increased amount will help them grow, I'll dust off my pom-poms to assist! Hope you're feeling ok otherwise. I know what you mean re orgsnising everything and hoping it goes to plan for work etc. I'm trying to not let stuff stress me too much.

Happy when's your first scan? Glad all is going well so far.

Tiger I'm pleased you enjoyed your first week! The puppy (and MrT) will be so excited to see you!

Minx did you get your lap sorted?

Gill have you heard if you can go ahead for this cycle?

I got my biopsy result tiday, it's basal cell carcinoma which is low risk skin cancer but contained so although clearly it is not ideal, it's not major. They've sent me an appointment to have the area removed but it's the day after the IVF pg test result based on my current treatment plan Confused obv I know that it won't necessarily go to the plan but it means I'll either have the result whatever that will be or be waiting for the result and not know. I don't really know what to do. Sorry to blab on berries.

Anyway I'm pleased it's Friday at least!

HampshireBlues · 16/01/2015 17:21

Thank y Berries, I know that you would reassure me...I am on Menopur 150 but am taking 225 tonight and Sunday night and 150 on Saturday so fingers crossed. To be no eat we got 11 last time I am just worried about the size and wondering if the quality will be worse as I have not been well?

Beaky I'm glad that you have your biopsy results back and at they are getting you back in for a wider clearance. Like you said, not ideal but the 'better' type. It may be worth ringing them and explaining your IVF cycle, they may be able to get you in earlier...?

Gillster · 16/01/2015 22:49

Slow and steady is best HB. Hoping you get some top quality follies.

Hurray for completing the first week Tiger, bet you're exhausted but making the most of being back with Mr T and the hound. Hopefully it will become a more permanent arrangement very soon.

Sorry about the bad news Beaky and really unfortunate about the timing, not like it's ever good timing for this sort of thing. Try not to worry too much and I'm sure it will be sorted soon.

Still no word from the FC. I called again this morning as they are supposed to get back within 72 hours. Apparently they are quite behind in dealing with their requests and are only just looking at Tuesday's requests. Given that I don't need a scan or bloods yet, they've probably got a bit of leeway with timing but I'm not particularly hopeful that we'll get in this month.

Have they confirmed a bed for you Minx?

beakybeak · 17/01/2015 09:05

Oh how frustrating Gill. How late can you wait to hear? Is it partially because of Christmas closures? Are you going to track with opks? Thanks for your support, I'm just not sure whether to try and change the day surgery thingy at the moment. I'll chat to dh later on, I've not really seen him since I got the letter. I think I think I'm ok with things then get really stressy and realise I'm not. Ha!

Thanks as well HB I probably will do that, I had told my consultant previously we were doing IVF. Just remember it only takes one lady. I think it takes a while to affect egg quality though so being ill at the moment shouldn't make a difference. Were you short protocol last time?

tigerdog · 17/01/2015 09:27

ah beaky hugs to you for having another thing to deal with. I hate being in the healthcare system because of the lack of control - I think that is what makes it stressful for me anyway. At least you know your results now and they can take care of it. I would recommend trying the consultants secretary directly as they are often much more sympathetic than booking office staff, if you do decide to rearrange.

hb sounds like things are going ok to me. Being ill is unlikely to have had an effect, just make sure you get plenty of rest and fluids.

cricket ball cysts minx! Yowsers! glad all is clear now.

gill that is very annoying indeed. fingers crossed for.

well, I'm home sweet home and looking forward to a relaxed weekend with my two most favourite beings! Hope everyone else is well.

Smidge001 · 17/01/2015 10:16

Ah Tiger glad you're back with MrT and the hound. I'm currently (in the interval) at Dirty Dancing (theatre version). MrSmidge has been going all out this weekend to make up for the time I was away and the stressing he had over reading old emails Last night open air cinema with a picnic, this morning we hired kayaks on the harbour, massage in the afternoon and now Johnny and Baby at the theatre! It's more than we normally do in 3 months!

Better go after this not so stealth post as he's due back from the gents any second Grin

Hope you are having good weekends, and am thinking of Pip and wishing luck to Beaky in the meantime.

HampshireBlues · 17/01/2015 10:24

Simdge that sounds amazing! I'm so glad that MrS is spoiling you and that you are getting to have some quality time together. And Dirty Dancing....jealous!

Tiger enjoy your time with MrT and the hound, it's cold outside so good snuggling on the sofa weather.

Gill it is so unbelievably frustrating to not hear back from people and not be able to anything about it! I hope that you get some news sooner rather than later.

Pipbin · 17/01/2015 10:28

Thanks for the thoughts ladies.

Popped into work yesterday and everyone was so kind. I'm going to go back on Monday.

BobblesAndBells · 17/01/2015 12:57

Oh ladies can I join you please? I'm so thoroughly pissed off with this ttc malarkey, feeling really low and need cheering up!

So, a bit about me: Aged 36, been ttc for about 18 months, never a sniff of a BFP. DP had a vas reversal 2 years ago, but returned to a normal sperm count. So it's probably me that's faulty.

This month I convinced myself that it had worked (for no reason, just self-torture), and of course my period came yesterday in full glory. I just feel deflated, Ive run out of ideas...

Can I join in and be inspired by you ladies??

BobblesAndBells · 17/01/2015 13:04

Just read your update Pipbin, so sorry

tigerdog · 17/01/2015 14:02

Come on in bobbles and make yourself at home. Loads of lovely ladies here for support. Sorry that you find yourself here but I have found it to be a good place to hide out, especially on those dark days when af arrives and shames me for daring to be hopeful. We've all been there, eh.

pip make sure you are ready emotionally and physically my dear. No one will mind you taking time to recover. You're one strong lady and I so admire your attitude and strength x

I'm officially nuts....on my way to a football game and it's 2 degrees outside. Brrrrrr!! Jeans, tights, leggings, three jumpers, hiking socks and ski hat should help keep me warm!

Pipbin · 17/01/2015 14:28

Welcome Bobbles. I hope your stay is short.
After 18 months have you been to your GP? They'll do bloods etc for you. If you are over 35 you can self refer after 6 months.

Tiger my work are lovely and I'm going back in but they have said if I just need to get up and walk away I can do. If I wake up one morning and can't face it then fine. Also, I work with DH, so I've got support there. Plus everyone knows what has happened including one lady who has been through the exact same thing.
I'd rather be there with friends than sat at home watching Jeremy Kyle.

We are planning on redecorating the bedroom with a complete new bed and new bed linen. It's giving us a project.
