The smallprint –
Berries have a strict entrance criteria (TTC #1, over 30, TTC for 12+ months, NO instadiffers, must have a special pot and definitely no mention of baby dust or baby dancing).
Those not abiding by the rules may be escorted from the premises.

Lumen if my DH had to go through the physical stuff we would be screwed! He couldn't even be in the same room as me when I was injecting on the last cycle. You should have seen his face when they told him he could watch the ET and stuck a hat and gown on him Grin
How old are you Lumen? My AMH was a dismal 6.2 a year ago. Don't even want to think about what it is now! I'm almost 37 36

OP posts:
Pipbin · 07/01/2015 18:09

Happy My AMH was 20 (might eve have been 30) when I was 38 so it's not all about age.

happylass · 07/01/2015 18:41

But aren't the 'normal' levels of AMH different depending on your age Pip? I was told that mine was on the lower side of normal but I'm guessing it would have been classed as low if I had been 5 years younger? Was just thinking if Lumen is around the same age as me then hers mustn't be anything to worry about?

OP posts:
Gillster · 07/01/2015 18:52

Glad it went well Happy, sounds like the painkillers did the job. I nearly lept off the bed when they did mine. DH was forced to stay and distract me. How is Mr Happy going to cope if you go into labour?

Logged onto the thread during work today and about 2 seconds later a birth announcement came through on email about someone at work. Talk about timing!

Just building up to leaving the warmth of my car to do boot camp in the wind and rain. This had better be worth it!

beakybeak · 07/01/2015 19:31

Oo go Gill I haven't done anything since November and am feeling really unfit.

Happy well done on the scratch and great that it wasn't so sore. When do you start stabbing? I managed to give myself a raised lump after mine this mornjng! Went away after a while thank heavens.

lumen I'm sure I read over 15 was fine but I could be wrong helpful, I know didn't another berry who had a really low amh get diffed naturally though? Again, could be wrong... super helpful again

beakybeak · 07/01/2015 19:33

Oh sorry about the birth announcement too Gill. My assistant has been telling everyone at work they've started trying for no.2, will be so annoyed if she instadiffs. Argh.

tigerdog · 07/01/2015 20:03

Glad the scratch went ok happy and lol at your DH. At our recent appointment at the FC they went on about the men being the ones that faint. Us ladies are made of sterner stuff. Grin

My understanding of AMH is that there are levels which are considered good/satisfactory/low etc. but then it is also necessary to look at where you are relative to the average for your age. The Lister has averages for each age group based on a study, which I came across I was looking last week after I got my results.

Good work on the exercise gill and lumen. I've not done any for about a month, unless you count a few leisurely lengths of a rather small pool on holiday. I really need to get off my butt and do something. I'm slowly weaning myself off of the chocolate though, so that's something. There's none left in the house now.

I also bought Zita West's eat yourself pregnant book today for the Kindle (if only it just required stuffing your face!) as I feel like I need a plan to follow and some inspiration.

Boo to the birth annoucements too gill. Facebook seemed to be full of scan pictures this week, plus the announcement that Benedict Cumberbatch is going to be a father. I don't want to know! beaky some people have no idea! How is the injecting going today? AF isn't due until Sunday so no sign yet, the random spotting seems to have gone again so not sure what that was about. Feel like a bloater, and also generally a bit Sad so I'm pretty sure that she is on her way.

Took delivery of the stork today as part of a MN trial. Really not sure about actually using it. I must have been feeling adventurous desperate when I signed up for it! Hmm, will have a read of the instructions whilst Mr T is out for the evening.

greatbigbushybeard · 07/01/2015 21:13

beaky it was me with the low amh who got diffed naturally. I remember I cried when I got my amh result as it was so shit!

What's this about the cumberbatch becoming a father? Last thing I heard he'd just got engaged... Do you think he's terribly old fashioned & that's why he's getting married?!

tiger I remember you being v up for the stork. Give it a go, if you get diffed their sales will go up massively as we'll all want one!!

Love the idea of eating yourself pregnant!!

When I did IVF I down regged by sniffing, the taste when it would trickle into your throat was minging!!

Way to go on the healthy eating... I've just finished the last of the chocolate lif, heated it up so it went gooey and had vanilla ice cream with it- nom!!

lumen · 07/01/2015 21:23

bushy you can't come on here talking of chocolate! Damn you Wink

I know my AMH isn't really really low, I'm 35, but for some reason it was lower than I expectednot sure why I had an expectation as I am not a doctor

gill you are putting us to shame with your boot camp! Wish I lived near you as they have always interested me but I have been too much of a wuss to go on my own!

Glad jabbing is going ok beaky I had some bumps too but they all went away.

beakybeak · 07/01/2015 23:07

Oo Tiger let us know what she says! I love Zita. I bet it's super healthy low carb and "clean"! Boo to Benedict too, and I did think is that why they got engaged or maybe they love each other?!! ha. I'm crossing my fingers legs and toes for you tiger Grin injecting is going fine, thanks for asking.

Bushy I thought it may have been you but couldn't quite remember! How are you doing?

lumen I remember the first time I did a bootcamp, it was before they were a "thing" in like, 07 or something and it was weird! I turned up at the beach and was a bit early, no one else was there and so I thought I'd been had! Then a loud mouth lunatic turned up (the trainer) and I really enjoyed it! Thanks for the reassurance, it's so difficult to know what to expect! When is your FC appointment then?

Jelliebabe2 · 08/01/2015 06:56

Hey beaky! Well done on the drumming! Is daunting first time but it's amazing how quickly that goes away. How long are you stabbing for?

Lumen 15 is okay. My acupuncturist says it doesn't mean you can't, it means you have to get on with it! And mine was 1.4 so virtually non existent!

Bushy - glad you enjoyed the last of the choc! Now join the rest of us on the virtuous bandwagon! I've done my two fast days and twas okay. Now lowish carb and healthy.

Tiger - Zita west always sounds a bit grim to me kind of zealotry. No idea why I've not really looked into it. You'll have to let us know what its like! The stork - and that too! Lol

Gill - Bootcamp! Yesterday was frizzin! Well done you!

Happy - glad scratch was okay. I didn't find it too bad. Mind you id had hysteriscopy with biopsy and I was comparing it to that (bloody dreadful). So scratch was a breeze Compared to that. I'm surprised they were going to let oh stay! Mr B won't look at the scans! I thought he might find the follicles interesting! Lol wusses

Right got to go,, have a good day ladies

WildflowerMarmalade · 08/01/2015 11:48

The 'house is clear of chocolate’ Tiger - i.e.. you’ve eaten it? You can’t fool us you know.

And Beaky this made me laugh 'Then a loud mouth lunatic turned up...and I really enjoyed it!’ Each to their own, my lovely, but that sounds like my idea of something horrible and unenjoyable. Give me Darcey Bussell’s Pilates DVD anytime.

Nolly I hope you are feeling marginally better. I was so sad to read your description of what you and MrNol have been going through. Bless you both and look after each other. We are always here for you, as you know. Flowers

I feel as if I’ve been run over by a tuck after the first few days back at work. A colleague said that he finds the bit between New Year’s Day and Christmas Eve the worst bit - the rest of the year is totally fine! Grin Just another 11.5 months to go then until it gets good again.

Go drumming Berries!! Cheering you on.

beakybeak · 08/01/2015 19:09

Jellie when do you get going for your DEIVF? I have drumming for another 2 weeks then Vaseline scan then stimming. Will be the end of feb before I know it!

Wild he was well hot, which totally helped Grin I've now been on amazon to check out Darceys Pilates! Would you recommend it then? Were you waiting for AF to show up before you could get going for your IVF? Any sign? Sorry my memory is terrible.

Tiger is it going to be your last day tomorrow?

How's everyone else doing? Friday tomorrow! Woohoo!

tigerdog · 08/01/2015 19:59

Yes wild I've eaten it all, I admit it. I had to resort to a spoon in the Nutella jar to get my fix today. I'm a chocoholic!

beaky yeah last day tomorrow. Excited, nervous and sad. I thought I'd be saying goodbye to go on mat leave, not off to a promotion in London. Trying to invoke the law of sod by taking the job hasn't worked sadly as yet, but IVF planned in to start at end of March so all good either way. On to the next stages of our lives. Only thing getting me down a bit is being away from Mr T and T-dog but weekends will seem even more precious after a working week away and it's only for the short term.

jellie I shall feedback after reading zita and experimenting with the stork! Blush. How do you find 5:2? I'd like to shift half a stone just to get in to shape but I can't motivate myself.

Ah minx there are also rules about cancelling operations for a second time (not allowed under hospital contracts) so hopefully it won't happen. That said, there seems to be a bed crisis in lots of hospitals so it can't entirely be ruled out. Fingers crossed anyway!

beakybeak · 08/01/2015 21:57

Tiger I hope tomorrow goes well, and remember you are taking a brilliant promotion from which you will be taking mat leave, very soon Smile hopefully Mr T and the puppy will be with you very soon.

minx great news on the lap date, not long at all! Slow and steady is good for weight loss, helps to keep it off!

Smidge001 · 09/01/2015 01:53

Hello berries, seems a while since I last wrote swapping sides of the world feels a bit like going through a time warp I'm back 'down under' now. Flight was fine and I even got upgraded on the second leg, woohoo! Plane was over an hour late in arriving though, so I only just made it to my blood test in time. MrSmidge dropped me off when we were stuck in traffic and I had to run down the road in my massive big snow boots (that we're too big to pack) in 30degree heat. People must have thought I was mad Grin. Anyway, all is well and I am to start downregging injections with Lucrin today. it's already midday and I've not been to the chemist yet, I am so lazy

I'll have my scratch in a couple of weeks. Glad yours went well happy. I'm a bit scared about mine as my hicosy was about the most horrendous thing I've had to go through. Out of three (non-anaesthetised) ventures through my cervix, 2 have been awful, so I am beginning to wuss out and want MrSmidge to join me. If it actually goes well I will feel like a complete fraud and bad for making him leave work to watch. He's not good with watching these procedures either. Men!

tigerdog · 09/01/2015 10:16

Hey smidge glad to hear you got back ok and made it to your appointment - impressive!

I feel weird today. Last day. Think I must be crazy to put me and Mr T through all of this upheaval. Already feeling slightly tearful, combination of af about to arrive, leaving my job and having some nice cards on my desk when I got in, and then the thought of being without Mr T and hound. To be fair, I always feel this clingy and emotional a day or two before af, so I reckon that even if it was an ordinary day I'd be on the edge! All I bloody well want is a baby anyway. Oh well, onwards we go.

Happy Friday everyone!

beakybeak · 09/01/2015 14:54

Smidge glad you got home safe and well done on getting to your appointment! Another downregger, hooray! I am not good at this bit so far, I keep leaving bee sting type marks Sad anyway, glad everything is on schedule so far.

Tiger sorry your last day is so emotional, when you do have your baby you will be pleased you took the new job when you could and hopefully it will only be a short time until Mr T and the puppy join you full time. You are definitely not crazy and I know it will all work out fine for you. Hugs for the meantime Brew and Cake too.

Smidge001 · 10/01/2015 05:43

Tiger I hope you are feeling better now it's the weekend and the emotional goodbyes are done. (I'm not counting MrT or TigerDog as you will be seeing them lots so no emotional goodbyes needed there she says, trying to normalise it )

Beaky I'm glad it's not just me leaving marks - I'm sure I was better at this last time round, but yesterday's injection took me three attempts to find a spot that didn't draw blood, and even then I ended up with a raised bee sting mark! I'm hoping today's attempt is more successful.

In other news I def need to get some All Bran in. I had Bran Flakes for breakfast every day when I was in England (yum - my favourite cereal, which unbelievably they don't sell over here Sad) but now I'm back and my body is clearly not happy about my sudden reduced fibre intake Confused

I like your style Minx , dressing gown and bacon sandwich sounds perfect to me. It's very windy here, so if its the same with you I'd suggest staying at home today.

Glad you are home safely Smidge even if you are fibre deficient. And lol at your snow boots run in full summer! Hilarious, but it shows your dedication!

Tiger hope you are feeling ok-ish about the move. Change is unsettling, but once you are off doing the new job I reckon you will get in the swing of it and barely look back.

I'm not liking the sound of these bee sting bumps with the stabbing, Beaky and smidge - Confused

Having a little post-Christmas family get-together this evening and I am making chocolate roulade with Irish cream, which I've never done before. Wish me luck.

greatbigbushybeard · 10/01/2015 14:10

Who mentioned bacon sandwiches??

wild your pudding sounds delicious.

tiger you are bound to feel a bit emotional. It's the end of an era and sometime you get collywobbles from leaving the safety of something you know to something new and exciting ( although the exciting bit can seem rather daunting).

Go smidge!! I'm rather partial to bran flakes too. They used to do all bran yoghurt flakes which were lush but think they discontinued them.

Having a thrilling day of sorting out car insurance & tax. Still in pyjamas so need to get going & off here! I don't want to upset anyone but thought I'd just let you know in brief that I had my 12 wk scan yesterday & all was well, which was a relief. Have a lovely w/e berries x

lumen · 10/01/2015 17:05

Great news bushy, and I love that you were still in pjs in the afternoon, though I was the only one that was guilty of that Wink
