Giving blood whilst TTC?

I'm feeling brave and am finally planning to give blood. It's my first time since being old enough that I haven't been pregnant, had a piercing or tattoo within the required time! We're not DTD until Friday but the blood bus is coming here on Thursday. Would it affect us TTC in any way? Obviously I definitely wouldn't be pregnant when I give the blood... Thanks!

I'd say you are fine :) But might be worth calling them up to check.

I gave blood when I was following my cycle in minute detail and found it delayed ovulation by a couple of days (I gave blood in the week before ovulation was expected - don't think it would have made any difference had I given blood in the second half of my cycle).

So maybe give blood and wait till Sunday.
