Well as the title says :) I've chosen the worst time to get my act together and start my diet (again!!) I'm well overweight, in fact in classed as obese so I need to lose a tonne of weight. I know I need to be a healthy weight to conceive so there isn't much more of a motivator than the hope if a BFP :) I'm just counting calories until Christmas Eve (when we have our traditional Xmas eve meal of good old McDonalds!) and then back on track on the 27th when I will be returning to Slimming World.
If anyone fancies joining me, or even just to give me a kick up the arse, feel free :)

Ha ha vinegar seems to be the only thing NOT making me nauseas at the moment :/ I've got some salmon out for dinner as I haven't had fish in yonks! DH wants Caesar salad :( boooo, I bloomin love Caesar dressing but it's so high in fat :( Oooh but anchovies, nom nom! runs off to check Syns for anchovies dieting whilst having strange cravings and aversions is not fun :(

I was having a shitty morning (temp is dropping, people whinging at me when I was only trying to help) so I jumped on the scales again. Down another 2.5lbs, so 11.25lbs in total so far. That cheered me up.

I am finding weight loss so easy at the moment compared to the frustration of getting knocked up! I am sure it will slow down in time but hopefully by then I'll be skinnier and pregnant!

honeysucklejasmine · 07/01/2015 11:12

Also Laura so sorry to hear about your crappy AF. Been there with the vomit and it really isn't something I miss. Sad

Beanbag41 · 07/01/2015 13:38

Hubby now told me that he doesn't think ttc#3 is what he wants :( I'm a bit taken aback/gutted to be honest as I always pictured us as a family of 5, but still on the hunt to lose weight..... Can I stay!?!?

itssangriaoclock · 07/01/2015 13:45

Oh bean bag that's a horrible shock. Think you both need to sit down and discuss further.

Course you can stay!

Always here to help

Poochieblue · 07/01/2015 13:57

hello ladies, please may i join? i know a few of you are from another thread that I stalk am on and i am going back to SW on thursday so i will be a week behind you all but i need to lose about 6 stone to be in a health-ish weight (i think anyway, the battery in my scales ran out about 12 months ago eekkkk!!) am in the 2ww of cycle 4 ttc #1 and losing weight can only be a positive!

spamanderson · 07/01/2015 14:36

Oh beanbag that's awful :( are things stressing him out or anything? My DH decided after dd2 was born that he was not having any more so he had a vasectomy... Took him a month or so to realise it was a huge mistake and had changed his mind. Give him some time to relax a bit, take TTC-ing off the table for a few weeks/months and see if he comes around. My DH was stressed with dd2 (she didn't want anyone but me when she was small) and that's what drove him to have the vasectomy. It was the wrong choice but it gave him time to think about what he really wanted? If that makes sense? wish he'd thought about it better do we didn't have to pay a fortune to put it right
I know what it's like as I was desperate for number 3, and it's Like having something taken away from you. Give him time, and for God sake don't let him have the snip!

Beanbag41 · 07/01/2015 14:45

Thank you sangria he's pretty definite. i am very lucky and happy with my two kiddos now. He's probably right, and number 3 would tip us over the edge! Feel like a great mum now and we're a happy bunch. Just need reminding every now and again! We'll see what happens but for now need to figure out all the lovely benefits of staying as we are.

Looking forward to tomorrow, def feel like I've lost weight! Fingers crossed for everyone. Xx

Beanbag41 · 07/01/2015 14:54

Thanks spam for my mental health I need to go about it like we're not having anymore. Thankfully no talk of the snip. If he changes his mind I'll jump at the chance ;) literally! Wink

honeysucklejasmine · 07/01/2015 15:15

Oh no Bean, I'm so sorry to hear that. Don't leave us!

Hi poochie! waves

honeysucklejasmine · 07/01/2015 15:45

I just went on the NHS website for the bmi calculator. It recommended my maximum weight to be 9st 10lb, and as low as 7st 2lb! 7 stone! I am 5'6"! I cant think that 7st would be healthy in any way!

honeysucklejasmine · 07/01/2015 15:49

Sorry...typed something in wrong ... Its actually 8st3lb to 11st2lb.

I'm not sure what weight I am aiming for... Will keep going when i am happy.

spamanderson · 07/01/2015 15:55

Ignore those bloomin things honey. Have you looked at what weight watchers/ SW say is a healthy weight? Those are much more realistic. I'm 5"3 and my ideal weight is 8 stone 1 - 10 stone 1 so to say for someone of 5"6 to be 7 stone something is bloody ridiculous! When I've lost weight before, I didn't think so at the time, but I looked fab at just under 11 stone. I have massive boobs (34JJ) that don't shrink when I diet so I hold a massive amount of weight in them as it is! My goal weight would give me a BMI of 22.4 which is be over the moon with. Fir my height according to the nhs I should be between 7 St 6 and 10 st 2! I'd look horrific at 7 St 6. I'm not the right build for that at all, I'd look ill.

OP posts:
spamanderson · 07/01/2015 15:58

Ah right, yeah that seems better.the lower weight still seems a bit small for your height but it depends on your build I guess :)
I have my goal weight but there's no way I'll get anywhere near that until next year I shouldn't think. I'll like to get down to maybe 13 stone ish before the baby arrives if it's possible but as long as I don't get any heavier than I am now when I'm full term, I'll be quite happy :)

OP posts:
honeysucklejasmine · 07/01/2015 18:41

Thanks Spam, that's a good idea, will look up sw recommendations. And my gosh! Doesn't it make your back hurt, having boobs that big? I wonder how much bigger they'll get. Lucky dh! Grin

Think I'd be happy as a size 12, whatever i weigh.

jellypi3 · 07/01/2015 18:52

BMI is ridiculous anyway because it doesn't account for muscle. My BMI is 30, and I want to get to 25. But it says my ideal weight is 8st. I remember being 16, being 10st and a size 8. At 8st I'd disappear

21questions · 07/01/2015 18:58

I don't think I have any chance of getting into my ideal weight I'm just not built like that. I am big boned (even though some people don't believe in that Smile)

spamanderson · 07/01/2015 20:02

21 I looked up the whole big boned thing years ago, and there is some truth. Can't remember now if it's the measurement across your wrist bone or the width across the elbow can be used to see what size frame you have :)
I'd love to be a size 10-12 :)
Yes I do get back ache honey they're frickin massive :( worst thing though is bra shopping! Strangely though my DH is not a boob man! He's definitely a bum man, why he married me I don't know, ha ha!

OP posts:
honeysucklejasmine · 07/01/2015 20:30

I'm a 38E/F and that's more than enough for me. I wonder if they will stay big as i get smaller? saggy tits ahoy!

spamanderson · 07/01/2015 20:47

He he, I'm saggy fitted already boooooooo. But I went from flat chested to massive in no time at all at age 8/9, so I think that's why. Being pregnant is awesome when the bump helps keeps your boobs up! He he! I remember moaning once my bump went with dd2, I moaned to the midwife that the gravity got to my boobs again :D I'd love mine to get smaller as I do but it's not happened so far so not holding out much hope. In fact, I don't think I've ever gone down a bra size before! Always up!
Most embarrassing thing, I was being measured in a famous shop for the bigger boobed ladies and chatted to the girl about my business, she asked for a card and said ooooh I'm booked in to see you next week! FFs that was an uncomfortable consultation! I'm sitting there thinking omg she's seen me half naked and now I'm chatting cake with her :/ mortified!!

OP posts:
honeysucklejasmine · 07/01/2015 21:36

You make cakes? How do you resist? And how do you cope when feeling sick?

spamanderson · 07/01/2015 22:01

Well thankfully after a few years you don't smell them anymore! I'm hoping it doesn't turn into a trigger smell :/ the on,y problems I'm having at the mo is that I just cannot concentrate at all! I have a dilemma... I have a wedding cake booked in for about 2 weeks after my due date and they've paid a deposit... Not entirely sure how I'm going to get out if that as I always overcook my babies and even if I didnt, I'm not going to feel like doing a wedding cake with a newborn :/ argh!

OP posts:
honeysucklejasmine · 07/01/2015 22:10

Do you know someone else in the business you could transfer them to?I'm sure they'll understand, and not want to risk no cake because you were in labour!

MindfulBear · 07/01/2015 22:22

Congrats on the successes so far! I'm still at zero, which is good news!! Hope to stay that way until the return to work next Wednesday.
Sadly DH is then away for a month or 2

Gosh I'm also a 34G & quite frankly cannot cope with the idea of them increasing if we do have a DC#2... Crikey. Must. Lose weight!!

pocopearl · 07/01/2015 22:40
