Ducky put a small pillow under the sheet so his head is raised slightly. Because its under the sheet it's safe for him :) I had to do this with DS when he was ill as he was sick lots in the night

Yes that'll be fine Ducky :) and yes because of the rotavirus he was sick like every hour his milk would just come back up slowly. But he always seemed to have his head to the side when he was sick Confused lol! And when he was raised up by the pillow it just dribbled down his Chin. But ur DS will be okay raised up a bit :)

I have felt sad today- so many bad things happening to people. It is scary. DH has been worried about me. Not one of those moodies I had when I was pregnant; have just felt sad.

I have had bouts of depression since I was 18. I recognise the symptoms now and know when to see the Dr ad get some medication for a few months. Am keeping a eye on it. Could just be a bad day.

Cupcake92 · 26/01/2015 06:17

Aw Lulu :( ull get that often being a new parent. It just happens some days. I hope it was just a one off day for u and ur happier today :)

DS has been trying to eat coco butter this morning! He dipped his finger in it, put some on his face then licked his finger lol!' Grin strange child! He's also discovered nose picking! It's gross!

They grow up fast everyone! I miss him being a newborn :) ive attached a picture of him doing his 'im so cute' pose! Grin

Good thing you see able to pickup on your mood changes lulu, the fact you can puts you in good standing for picking up anything early.

I had my glucose test this morning but it all went shockingly wrong. Had my blood taken but it stopped coming out so the Dr had to swap arms. Then I started feeling faint, I haven't fainted after a blood test for years, everything started going weird and the Dr put the seat flat.

I could hear her saying things talking to me but just couldn't think to respond. Or squeeze her hand, I guess all the blood to my brain went weird. She took my blood pressure and it was low, probably a mix of having to fast for the test and pregnancy.

I felt ok eventually but then while trying to drink my lucozade it all came back up! Lots luckily went in the sick bowl but it came out at speed so some went on me and the floor. I have to do it all again next Monday. Just crap, my hands feel weak now like I can't squeeze them tight.

lillamyy1 · 26/01/2015 11:32

Oh no Siarie, poor you! I hope you manage to eat something and feel better soon.
Sorry to hear you've ben feeling sad Lulu. I hope you feel happier today.
Glad DS has had such fun with DM Ducky Smile He must be feeling better if he's been so smiley!
Cupcake, your DS is sooo cute! What a sweetie! Does he say much yet?

Ducky23 · 26/01/2015 13:53

Hope your feeling better lulu.

Cupcake your ds is so cute!

Siarie low blood pressure is horrible Confused it kept happening to me when I was in labor and it's vile Confused it made me violently sick and dizzy. Were they unable to do the test because of it?

Siarie · 26/01/2015 14:17

I couldn't do the test because I vomitted the lucozade up. So apparently you have to start over. I drank two cup fulls and was on my final cup and I could feel it was really gassy and my stomach felt full. It's really a horrible test, never going to end well making a pregnant lady fast then have blood taken, then drink loads of fizzy sugary stuff on an empty stomach Sad

Ducky23 · 26/01/2015 14:30

I didn't have to do it but it definitely doesn't sound nice Confused

Why do you have to do it? Does everyone have to have that test in pregnancy?
The midwife called me today to tell me I've got low iron levels. I'm quite relieved because I've been so dozy and tired recently, I thought it was just a 3rd trimester thing, but glad it's something that can be sorted. There's still loads to do to get our new house tarted up, and I'm just too exhausted to do any of it!

Lil you only have to do it if your at risk of pg diabetes or you have a family history of diabetes I think Smile

Cupcake92 · 26/01/2015 18:01

Oo Siarie that sounds awful!! :( I think I was lucky when I had mine as I felt fine just felt dizzy but that was usual for me in pregnancy.
I had to have it because my auntie had gestational diabetes throughout Her pregnancies. So I had to be checked.

Lill DS doesn't say a lot he says 'what's that' 'what's this' 'no' 'daddy' 'momma' 'yum yum' and 'tedda' which is his teddy lol Grin he does a lot of sign language tho do anything he can't say he can usually sign.

We are going to PIL tomorrow afternoon until Friday morning- as long as DS copes. The fuss over what to take! Perfect Prep is going with us and steriliser. Moses basket, pram, car seat, baby chair, mat. It is like packing for a holiday not two days.

He has been a little sweetie today- quite a few smiles. He is 4 weeks old tomorrow. Can't believe it. My jelly belly is going down. Am still not my own shape yet- not that it was much to write home about! Weigh 4lbs less than when I got pregnant.

Cupcake92 · 26/01/2015 22:30

I hope u have a nice time at the PIL's Lulu :) I think it'll be a nice get away for u all :) and as for u nearly loosing ur jelly belly! Well done! :D and lost 4lbs??! Wow! Lulu how have u done that?? I gained 1 and a half stone..... And it's still there! Grin and as I had a csection I still have a kangaroo pouch lol!! Grin

Ducky how is DS doing? And how are u?

Still organising this hen do. And I'm so so done with it!! Sick of suggesting things and everyone ignores me or completely fobs off what I've said! And now 2 other girls are putting their own ideas in and making it into a dirty things, we now have to wear a short tutu tank top and a garter! And have a rude nickname printed on the top!
Now as I said.... Ive put on 1 and. A Half stone so I won't look good in this outfit at all, and I'm a christian and just don't believe in all this rude stuff and strippers :(. Sorry for the silly rant im just worrying lol

See Tori that first part sounded like a dream!
We've ended up having a posh restaurant (which ive been begging them not to come dressed up in tutus to as we would 100% not be allowed in!) then a huge night out in nottingham bums out little tank tops going to a strip club and having a stripper!!! Oh and not to mention the bride has to do some disgusting dares like "snog a bald man" !!! What is this going to be?! A hen do or a slut fest!?!
Sorry lol I'm just so annoyed! Can u tell? Grin

I hate hen do's - didn't have one and never go on them. Can't think of much worse really. I hate weddings - avoid them unless absolutely necessary. Can just about cope with the odd night time do. Particularly hate hugely expensive very fussy weddings where you stand around for hours waiting while the fuss happens. I get bored silly. DH is the same.We just turn down invitations.

I think I am lighter because I really did try to eat healthily and do lots of walking. I need to lose weight. I didn't put much on at all but I think that was because I was losing fat which masked it a bit. I walk DS every day, sometimes 5 + miles which must be doing me good. And I am making lots of vegetable soups.

DH meanwhile put half a stone on while I was pregnant. Good job he is tall and well built.

Lulu that's really good :) im very slowly loosing it I think, I don't weigh myself anymore lol! But I run about with DS every day, we go to the park or soft play, but he makes me run after him haha! Grin I also make my own vegetable soups Lulu :) DS really likes them too.

Oh Tori... Krispy kremes ?! How did u get them? Just go out and buy lots of boxes?? That's amazing!! I love Krispy kremes!!
