Thts good to hear lulu. They recon it peaks on day 5 (which will be tomorrow) then just gets better. They had to come in and quickly suction down his throat earlier it was horrible Sad

Cupcake92 · 23/01/2015 22:29

I hope he gets better really quickly ducky! He's been in the wars hasn't he! U all need a bit of a break bless u all.

My DS is still awake and will not go to sleep, DH is already in bed fast asleep and I'm desperate to go bed myself lol

DS is lying on our bed looking very alert and waiting for his daddy to come home from the pub. I am holding off as lng as possible with the bottle so we get more undisturbed sleep. He's not bothered as yet. He has been very cute today, we have had a smile and some pouty trembly lips and he has been on his mat having tummy time. He is trying to lift his head.

He watched a film with DH this afternoon (slept all the way through it but DH says they watched it together).

I went out for a run- just a short one and it knackered me but it felt good doing some gentle runnng again. There was lots of stopping and starting.

steph1204 · 24/01/2015 00:03

Can't sleep tonight, starting to get worried about the delivery Blush
Starting to realise that our life will be totally different in a few days... and not so sure to be ready Confused

Cupcake92 · 24/01/2015 08:05

Aaww bless him Lulu, sounds like DH is completely in love with DS :) watching films together already :p
And gosh well done u on the run!! I could never have managed it! Still can't Grin I do need to start swimming again tho, DS loves a swim too.

Steph do not worry :) honestly, u should see it as a positive thing, as that helps reduce pain in labour! Sounds silly but it does! If u think of the pain as good pain it doesn't seem bad, and once ur little on is here u'll forget about the worry of ur life changing because u won't be able to remember what ur life was life before :) for me labour was exciting I enjoyed the contractions lol!

Ducky how are things today?

Ducky23 · 24/01/2015 08:58

How lovely lulu Smile and well done for the running! I started to excercise again but it's all gone a bit pear shaped with ds being ill!

Steph the delivery will be fine. If you are worried have you thought about hypno birthing? That might help relax you Smile

Cupcake they have reduced his oxygen further, am just waiting for consultant to see what he thinks. I dot want to take him home if his oxygen levels go down like they did before Confused

He's been on it over 24 hours tori but is only on a small bit now, but they said he was doing good and took him off it yesterday and his levels dropped down to 70 something after a few mins Confused

LuluJakey1 · 24/01/2015 10:24

Steph, I was really worried about giving birth. Once I realised I was in labour I think I must already have been a few cm by then and it just sort of takes over and you get on with it. And whilst I would not want to do it very often, it does fade quickly and you start to feel like yourself after about 2 weeks- or I did. The midwife will keep you calm.

I thought it was like OfSTED. You know there will be pain, you do what you can to prepare, you dread it and once they arrive it goes over and you get on with it and there is huge relief at the end of it.

iamdivergent · 24/01/2015 17:25

Yep you'll be surprised at how you manage Steph. You just get on with it, you may feel it's never going to end but it's amazing how you do start to forget once baby is on your chest.

With DD1 I got up and my waters had been trickling after I went to the loo, phoned the midwife who came our amazing nd strapped me to a monitor, she said yep you're def in labour let's examine you...wander off with her to the bedroom and as we're chatting she reckons I'm about 2-3cm; she has a rummage and comes out tells me to phone dh as I was 7cm haha! DD1 arrived about 2 hrs after we went to hospital with just gas and air Smile

dd2 - woke up sore, felt sick and actually was, phoned hospital who sent out the midwife. I was pacing with dh when my waters went in a gush, midwife arrives and examined me - I was ready to push! 5 mins after she walked in the door I had delivered dd2 on my living room floor Grin no pain relief at all! Mental Smile

iamdivergent · 24/01/2015 17:25

How is the little man ducky Thanks

lillamyy1 · 24/01/2015 17:50

Wow iam, it sounds like two really quick and easy births! I'm actually really looking forward to it now. DP has been reading the Expectant Dad book I got him and has already decided what pain relief I'm having Hmm tens machine and gas and air. Pah! He knows how badly I deal with pain as well! I'd quite like to try pethidine but I hate throwing up and worried it will make me.
Hope the duckling's doing ok Ducky. Been thinking of you both Flowers
We've been painting the nursery the last couple of days. It's a calming pale green and will have cream/white furniture Smile

Have you got to prepare for hypnobirthing in advance? I reeeeeeally want a water birth (although a bit worried that I'd poo and be sitting in a bath with bits of poo floating about! Blush )

LuluJakey1 · 24/01/2015 19:57

AF must be doing the rounds. Sorry Cupcake and Iam.

Ducky, how is your little boy? I hope he is feeling better.

I have cooked DH a roast dinner tonight- chicken wrapped with bacon and herbs, little sausages, stuffing, roast potatoes, broccoli, cauliflower and mangetout and gravy. He was in seventh heaven. He has taken DS for a walk to walk it off. Smile Both well wrapped up.

Cupcake92 · 24/01/2015 20:46

AF buddies Iam!! This means we have to be BFP buddies next time!! :)

Omg Lulu can I come to urs for dinner please?!! That sounds so yummy!!

OP posts:
LuluJakey1 · 24/01/2015 21:09

I am so in his good books at the moment! I have loads of browniepoints- he still thinks giving birth was just amazing, DS is the bees knees, sex is back on the agenda, I am back to my usual easy going self and I am cooking a proper dinner! What more could he want?

We are just going to play a MENSA test game to see who scores best. I will beat him......or should I let him win. Grin

Ducky23 · 24/01/2015 22:26
