New thread girlies!! :) hope this is okay.

It is amazing- on the coloured one, the shape of his inner ear is exactly like DH's, exactly- on a smaller scale of course but absolutely totally the same.

DH is very proud when people say he is lovely because he looks so like him. He trys not to look proud but this daft grin comes across his face. One of our neighbours called this morning for 10 mins- she has 3 children and works as a midwife in a hospital south of the Tyne. She just awwwed over him and DH could hardly stand still he was so pleased. I heard him tell her he thinks he has seen him smile. She said the same as me - not yet- but he said he was sure he had. He asked her about the little spot on Ds's nose and she said it is nothing, babies often have little white spots when they are born. The hospital already told us that when he asked them.

Wish my mum was with us today and could hold him and see him. She would be so happy. Now I am crying again. Off to make tea. See you later.

Lulu it's deffo baby blues :) I had it. I was awful tho, I cried all day every day for about 2 weeks but I think mine was a lot to do with my csection and being in a lot of pain.
Ur DS is so so so so so adorable!!! Looks so innocent and cute! Aaww :) bet u and DH are so proud!

21 we will all get our bfps this year. I can feel it :) and u never know, it could be soon! Nice to see ur feeling positive about it all :)

I'll add a little pic of my DS the day he was born. He was very chubby tho!!!

This is DS the day he was born still in the hospital. He looks so sweet and innocent but that all changed ! Haha!

Cupcake, he looks huge! What did he weigh? DS is nowhere near as big- although he is long I think. What a cute little chubby face and he has loads of hair! I don't think I would have coped on gas and air giving birth if DS had been your baby's size. Wasn't he early as well?

He looks like he is smiling at you. Look at the size of his hands! Good job you had a c-section I think.

I think you are right about baby blues. I just findmyself crying. Have just made tea and I cut the bread wonky and cried I think DH is scaed I. am going to go into one of those moodies but I'm not. I am not angry at all, just unaccountably weepy.

It's fine lu - just tell dh you'll be right as rain in a couple days

Haha Lulu ur reaction made me laugh!! he was born at 40+2 weeks. I went into early labour at 32 weeks but had it stopped, had steroid injections to mature his lungs but I blame them for his size as me and DH were tiny 6lb babies when we were born. DS was 8lb 13oz. Yea he was a huge baby im tiny as well so was super big for me! I had an epidural with him for labour! But yes he was too large to push out.
And don't worry Lulu it'll definately disappear in a few days. Get it all out ur system :) ur DS is so adorable tho!!!

And thank u! :) he was a chunky one! He's thinned out a bit now, I'll attach a photo, u can see a huge difference and he looks so different now!!!

Cupcake, you can still see that baby in him though- the shape of the hair and his face, he just looks more 'defined now'. He is a very handsome little boy and very good.

Ducky- He is so sweet, I know, but he still does not have a name. We go round and round Charlie, Guy and Joseph. We decided on Joseph Guy last night and now we aren't sure. Guy Joseph or Charles Guy or Guy Charles.

DH's surname has an 'Y' at the end, pronounced as in Hattersley , short 'ee'. I suppose it is my surname as well but I don't use it, I use my own. Anyway, Charlie has that same sound at the end which we aren't sure about. I love Guy but if DS doesn't, he is stuck with it as it can't be shortened. We really like Joseph as well but just can't decide. Samuel has now emerged as well- from nowhere. He needs a name. We are calling him Pud at the moment.

Lulu I love Charlie but it's very popular here so it's not one we would use. For a short traditional name we liked Sam (Samuel) and Tom (Thomas) I also like Jake (Jacob) too

cupcake your ds is so cute, you can really see how similar he is in the pics. He has such a head of hair too, dd2 has such soft wispy baby hair still at 6!

Iam. I like Jacob but we know a not very nice Jake and can't get past that. We had Thomas on the list at one point along with Isaac but they have sort of faded.

Sam is growing on us and Joe is still there. I think we are down to those two now. The ee at the end of Charlie just doesn't go with our surname.

TMI I have managed my first poo. DH had to stand outside the loo door whilst holding the Pud to reassure me!

Lulu and Cupcake both your DS's are adorable. Makes me excited to meet my little girl now, so I can see her face.

Me and DH have started on the nursery today. We built the dresser and have moved things around so I finally have somewhere to put her clothes.

We're sorting the cotbed last as she's sleeping in a hammock in our room to start with. Totally knackered now, I think we will both end up having an afternoon nap later!

I second the Joseph Sam is nice too but you've liked Joseph from the start haven't you?
