It took 18mth to get pg with dd2.

Have had some tmi warningstringy pink spotting on and off today but af not made her appearance yet. I'm due on tomorrow but going to wait until mon/tue before in test, seem to spend a fortnight on tests now I'm not getting them free and usually af comes the next day!

its not fun 21 no matter how long or short you've been trying! feels like forever either way Sad Thanks

Tired! Just got home after seeing the relatives over the Christmas period. Time to chill out and relax! I've got loads of baby shopping to do.

Snow sound great cupcake, love it when it snows

Bearsinmotion · 27/12/2014 15:17

After a scary drive through the snow last night we are safely at MILs. There are loads of people here, which DP and DD love, but I hate! So I am upstairs in bed pretending to nap but actually reading a book and eating chocolate! Also not in the mood for a long conversation about how big bump is and whether I'm looking forward to the birth! Xmas Confused and why I'm still in pyjamas. Will go back down when visitors have gone and it's a bit less manic Xmas Smile

poppet85 · 27/12/2014 15:39

Bears I'd be the same !yesterday was a big family and friends day . I have just had a nice day with just the mil as dh and fil went out . We went to the local town for a potter and now shes made me a cup of tea and just left me to read and eat chocolate !!she is lovely I am very lucky

Bearsinmotion · 27/12/2014 19:53

MIL is great, it's just the visitors I can't cope with! Didn't phase DD though - obviously a Daddy's girl!

Am Xmas Envy of your snow cupcake! Not surprised DS is annoyed - he didn't like it at the snowdome and now it's everywhere!

Cupcake92 · 28/12/2014 09:08

If be happy to give u all my snow? Smile its horrible!! It's turned all Icy and driving is near impossible.

Hope everyone is okay !! :)

We had quite heavy snow cupcake Friday but it was gone by Saturday morning thank goodness.

I also live about 30 mins drive from the snow dome. Some of us could be in quite close proximity in real life Smile

That's it today no more bad food for me. Need to get back to healthy eating now xmas is over.

Siarie · 28/12/2014 11:33

It's alright if you don't need to go out though. So I'd be happy for snow now Smile

DH and me just ordered presents from each other. We ran out of time before Christmas as we went away and then it was crazy busy out there. I've got a lovely changing bag on its way, suits me well as I like being organised.

How are you getting along Ducky? Have you settled in to your new routine now?

Lulu you must be counting down now!

Ducky23 · 28/12/2014 11:44

Were doing great thanks siarie Smile

Starting to get things more now so it's a lot less stressful and I know how to make him sleep a full 2 hours at night which is amazing! Grin

Am so in love with him Smile

LuluJakey1 · 28/12/2014 12:27

No snow here. Sunny but cold.

I am feeling better Sairie. Have had a bad few days with some sort of virus but almost gone now.

Yes, I am counting days. 7 to D Day. DH timed the drive to the hospital yesterday with a practice drive there - which I thought was bonkers but I haven't been out over Christmas so it was a bit of a treat getting a run out. Grin Took 25 minutes. No traffic. I asked if he wanted me to groan in the car to make it more realistic and he said no because it might distract him. Confused

I am fed up now. I just want to have it all over with and be focused on him being here rather than him getting here. Then I can feel a bit more normal physically too. At the minute everything is a effort because everything is harder to do .

LuluJakey1 · 28/12/2014 12:32

Ducky, that is so lovely. I am so pleased for you that it is going so well. I am shocked that he is only sleeping for two hours at a stretch! My plan is sleep for 4 hours at least, feed, change nappy, cuddle, lie contentedly, sleep etc on a circuit if you see what I mean, with baths and walks fitted in where best suits. I could make that work quite nicely as long as he co-operates.

Cupcake92 · 28/12/2014 15:28

21 im so with u on the healthy eating! I need to go back to that. Xmas is too tempting to eat bad!

Siarie a changing bag sounds nice ! I want a yummy mummy one :)

Ducky I'm so glad ur settled and in a routine. :) bet it's lovely having DS there finally and getting lots of cuddles!!! Smile

Lulu glad ur feeling better!! :) :) can't belive its only 7 days till ur due date!! Exciting!!

As for babies sleeping, DS magically slept 6 straight hours from 9 weeks old. He went from waking every 2 hours to suddenly every 6 hours. So fx Ducky ur DS will do this!

Siarie · 28/12/2014 18:18

I love my sleep so much it would be way too lucky to get a baby that sleeps through quickly. I'll be 23 weeks tomorrow and I realised its only 17 weeks to go! Which doesn't seem like very long when I think of it like that.

I've seen the yummy mummy bags, they are really nice but I went for a storksak Elizabeth as the travel changing mat seemed nice and thick.

7 days to go, wow that must feel pretty crazy.

Cupcake92 · 28/12/2014 18:32

If I was pregnant still from the 1st time id be turning 27 weeks this week :(

OP posts:
Ducky23 · 28/12/2014 18:41

Lulu it's a massive improvement he was previously going for an hour at a time between feeds during the night! By the time I fed him, burped him, changed him and settled him back down I was only getting a couple of mins sleep' it was torture!

Cupcake I hope ds does that and starts sleeping more soon Grin how are you feeling?

LuluJakey1 · 28/12/2014 19:51

I will never cope Ducky. I don't know how people do it. I do hope wr get one that sleeps well. How have you kept going on no sleep? DH is very keen to do feeds so we should get some sleep between us, but I am not breast feeding so he will be able to do his bit.

Cupcake- it will be your turn again soon and this time things will be right.

7 days feels very strange Sairie. Can't quite believe it but we are as ready as we will ever be. Everything is set up and just have our fingers crossed that it all goes smoothly. I am really scared.

Cupcake92 · 28/12/2014 20:13

Just u wait Ducky ds will have a magically turn around and u'll both end up sleeping more! :) and I feel sort of fed up I guess. A little crappy too. Have work tomorrow and have to go in and explain why I was unable to go in on Monday :(
And as Lulu said, I know it'll be my turn again soon and it'll work out, but it's so hard. And I just cAnt be bothered. Sounds silly but I hate dtd. It's not fun it's just compulsary. And month after month of AF appearing and me feeling sad for about 5 days. Or getting a BFP getting excited and then having a huge door slam in ur face because it's been taken away from me. Feel like people are laughing at me as I can't get pregnant and keep a baby. Sad and everyone of my friends are well into their new pregnancies no problems at all. 2 out 3 of my pregnancies have ended in miscarriage, when it's supposed to be 1 in 5? Just doesn't seem fair :(

Okay ive had my rant now lol. Just feeling a little sorry for myself tonight Flowers

Ducky23 · 28/12/2014 20:28

It's surprising how good I feel on no sleep lulu! H is sleeping fine, he brought ear plugs. I can't get him to help with the night feeds because I don't trust him to clean/sterilise properly Hmm he made one bottle up (after i sterilised the bottle) and when he brougt it up it smelt Blush I had to go re do it, I don't think he washes his hands enough Confused so gross!

Cupcake, life can be so cruel Sad I've learned to not trust statistics, they don't mean anything when you get dealt the crap hand Hmm I would still recommend the accupuncture, it might help with your emotional healing too

LuluJakey1 · 28/12/2014 20:29

Stop it Cupcake. You are just thinking things that are not true and upsetting yourself. You have a lovely baby and have no problems getting pregnant. No one in the world is laughing at you. I can't comment on DTD not bei g any fun Xmas Grin - at the minute it is that last thing on my mind!

Try and just not focus on TTC. If it happens it happens. Give yourself a break for a few months, don't count dates or symptoms and don't test. Let yourself lose track of your cycle. You might just get a nice surprise and find yourself alreday 8 weeks pregnant like I did. Then there is less time to worry. And DTD might be a bit more fun- or not Xmas Wink

Have a glass of wine. Wine

LuluJakey1 · 28/12/2014 20:36

Ducky - I have trained DH on bottles and sterilising and hygiene. He has practised and is quite pleased with himself. You can imagine- now a world expert!

Siarie · 29/12/2014 07:59

Luckily my DH has taken an interest by himself and been reasing books. I've decided I might not breast feed too so we've just purchased the Tommee Tippee prep machine to make our lives easier. I think all the bottles and sterilising stuff is coming today actually.
