Implantation/breakthrough/AF what?

Bit confused - second month of TTC, first month started AF cd32, this month started bleeding Saturday (CD27). Bleeding lasted 24 hours and only half-filled 2 tampax (I know it's gross, sorry). Test was BFN. My normal cycle used to be heavy bleeding for six days, tho have been on mirena etc a long time.

Anyway, v light short-lived bleeding, no cramping or pain (unusual again), ended Sunday lunchtime. Got a very little bit of dark brown sort of stringy stuff today (yep, grossout time again).

Any chance that this is breakthrough or implantation? Is nothing like any period I've ever had. Anyone had similar experiences?

hi
I am new here. I have a similar situation. this is our first month TTC. I had all the classic symptoms of pregnancy nausea, sore nipples, headache, lower back pain. itsmy 23rd day and I have started having lite spotting in the morning. Now by noon i have bright red bleeding. Its kind of thin fresh blood. Its the first time ever I have had periods this early if it is... so i am confused whehter this is implantation bleeding? or is this chemical pregnancy?
Any comments are welcome...

Thanks

Moorhen, my second pregnancy started very much like you have just described. I only thought about a week later that it was odd and that is when I tested and released I was pregnant. I had to go for an early scan to check everything was OK and it was. However, I do think after you stop any contraception, ie pill or coil, your body can do weird things for a while so wouldn't like to raise your hopes too much (i wasn't on pill, coil etc before ttc). If you can wait, I would try testing again in a few days. Good luck!

Hi Moorhen, I posted recently about a similar thing - after coming off Cilest this time to ttc, noticed my periods were really light and short (same as you really, 24 hours where I needed light protection, before and after that a bit of spotting)

This is the 5th month of trying, was worried that light periods might not be a good sign, but others have reassured me otherwise, so fingers crossed for this month (AF due on Thursday-ish)

Hope it's good news for you too.
