Question about CM

I just wondered if any of you could shed some light for me. My CM this afternoon was like you would expect at peak fertility- stretchy. But now I donn't have any, haven't had any for hours. Is this normal?!

Just thought I would mention that I don't always get a lot of CM - this is the first month I did. And it's not always present in my underwear or in a tissue, if you have a little feel around near your cervix, you may be able to find some. but I don't always find it is there everytime I go to the loo
