Advice needed, not sure what is going on!

I ahve been ttc for the past couple of months, I know my cycle has always been on the long side, usually 30 days +. Last cycle was 40 days, one before 35. On day 20 today and have been BDing over past few days(3 times). This morning I had some CM so thought must be Ovulating, then went to the loo and discovered I was bleeding! Not very heavy, but could be the beginning of my period, very odd though as have had no period pain (which I usually do). Any thoughts??

it could be an ovulation bleed?

it could be the start of your period

It could be cervical erosion? (nothing to worry about) .. but they normally only bleed after sex

You cannot judge ovulation on CM alone .. you need to at least do body basal temps as well

I have never bled between periods before, but havee also never had a cycle shorter than 28 days (always been long) Ov is usually aroubd day 18-20, so seems odd if perios has started. have heard of implantation bleeding, could it be that??

It could be if you ovulated 5 to 10 days ago. How much blood was there? Are you having to use sanitary protection?

Ok very confused now,had resigned myself to the fact it was period so put in sanitary towel, but 2 hours later not a spot on it and bleeding seems to have stopped. blood was red and enough to make me think AF (sorry if tmi!) Any ideas? Had sex Sunday and MOnday, but had been a while before that. Any advice??
