CB ovulation test

Hi ladies

I have got the old style (not dual) ovulation test and going on pains and past months, I am due to ovulate yesterday/today and I normally get really bad OV pains.
However I decided to test using the CB test on Weds and I got a smiley face.

Did the test again on Thurs (not sure why!) and just a blank circle and no ovulation pains today or yesterday.

I'm confused! When do you normally ovulate after the smiley face?

Any thoughts anyone? I'm now bleeding red blood on wiping (not due AF until 20th) Confused

Blondie i am using the clearable sticks that give you a smiley face when there is a LH surge, i think the box says you should ovulate in the next 12 to 36 hours once you get the smiley face, i think i read that you can have a bit of bleeding at ovulation ,
