Haha, I was meant to be... but I caved. It upset me more not trying than it did when I was trying.
Hey Ho :)

toothachereturns · 07/12/2014 22:39

Frantic symptom spotting in the tooth household! 6dpo today..... Sharp and dragging pains on my left side this afternoon. Now my boobs are very sore! I will have to be very disciplined to wait until Thursday to poas lol.

toothachereturns · 07/12/2014 22:40

Welcome back to the bus Treacle. Smile

Frolicacid · 07/12/2014 22:56

Wwwwwww cariad, sloe gin fizz is a brilliant idea! Please remind me about it when it's not a school night?!

I hope everyone has had a lovely Sunday. I just saw a glimpse of the weather and somearts of the uk may get snow overnight. Stay safe everyone, good night.

Sparkly123 · 08/12/2014 00:05

Hi everyone!

Trying to catch up, been out for a few days busy dtd!

Congrats to all with a BFP in their Santa sack! Best gift ever!

So sorry for all that have bfn/AF arrived.. Let's hope for some Christmas miracles and lots of BFPs in the new year!

I'm on CD 17 here. I had positive OPK day 13 and day 14.. Used CB smiles and smile disappeared by Day 15 am. dtd both day 13/14 aswell as day 11 and 12.. However we didn't do day 15/16.. (When OPKs were negative) my question is- do you think we missed a trick there? Would you all advise doing days on and after OPK turns negative??? Like everyone on the Dec bus really hoping for a BFP for Christmas and just wondering what everyone's thoughts are on days to dtd? I still don't have the hang of my temping.. I can't work out when I ovulate from my chart on FF!

Another small thing- I seemed to have twinges in my right side off and on Day 15/16.. But that doesn't really coincide with the OPK does it?!

As you can all see... I'm new to this!!
Any advice would be sooo very appreciated!

Sending lots of Christmas cheer to all of you in the TWW! I'm now officially joining you!

Shnickyshnackers · 08/12/2014 01:57

Sparkly123 I'm sorry I cant answer your question, I've never used opk's or temped. I always tell myself that sperm can last up to three days and so can an egg (if I am remembering rightly) so I made sure we bd-ed a few more times even after I'd O'd.

I have been expecting some cheapy internet tests to arrive in the post, I had hoped that they would arrive on friday (last week), but they didn't, so i thought 'oh well it'll be good to wait a couple more days then', like a forced waiting period! Anyway it's monday lunchtime here (down under) and still they have not arrived!! I am desperate to piss on something!!!!! I have two paper cups (with father christmas on them) in the bathroom (up high so dd's can get them).

Shnickyshnackers · 08/12/2014 02:02

*with fmu in and lunchtime wee in. :/

Boosk · 08/12/2014 07:04

I know what you mean treacle, waiting to ttc was much worse than any ttw for me. It was always on my mind that the clock is ticking and we weren't even trying. I'm much more relaxed now that we are actually doing something.

Happy Monday everyone!

xBlueberry88x · 08/12/2014 07:12

Sparkly from a positive opk it can be any when from then to 36 hours that you ovulate. I normally get the positive opk the day before ovulating. I expect the pain you had on day 15 was ovulation.
You do still have a chance sperm can live upto 7 days (but only if the environment is perfect) and an egg lasts 24 hours.
Hope that helps!

xBlueberry88x · 08/12/2014 07:13

ps thanks for the congrats boosk I cant believe it still!

toohardtothinkofaname · 08/12/2014 07:48

Morning sparkly,

I suspect you OV'd on CD15 and that was the pain you felt, some ladies can feel the egg break through & the contractions as it moves down the Fallopian tube.

If you DTD that much beforehand you're in with a pretty good shot! But next time do it until day of OV; I temp so DTD until I get a rise on my BBT & know the eggs on its merry way.

Hope this helps & have a fantastic tww! Grin

tootsroots · 08/12/2014 08:34

Morning all!!! Woo check out the weekend bfps and sorry for the grinch af- have yet to read back this racing bus but wanted to add that I too love slow gin! I was angelic and didn't imbibe this weekend! lies really I drank prosecco with abandon
Just wondering how ladies cope with trying to keep swimmers in and also try not to get utis - I feel one brewing ....

Second day smiley flashing on cb dh opk thing. A whole 9 days before last cycle - I tested taking soy this month fx it shortened the epic cycles!

hc899 · 08/12/2014 08:45

Two pink lines on frer again this morning - I am so hopeless, ended up only having about 2 hrs sleep last night because my mind was so preoccupied with doing the test in the morning!

Still a few days away from AF being due so still not sure whether to believe it or not! Driving myself crazy!

Dozygirl · 08/12/2014 09:14

toots ive suffered with utis every single month of ttc. I tried using my mooncup so that i could go for a wee without losing any, but this time i just held on for 30 mins and then went a wee. I still got a uti but i drank shed loads of water and took cranberry tablets and it went way on its own eventually. I was in agony though.

Oops just realised thats not really helpful because its not tips on how not to get one lol.

spinningirl10 · 08/12/2014 09:36

Morning Grin

Hc899, yay for your 2linesGrin

Cariad, yes come and join us in our festive drinkiesGrin sloe gin sounds lovelySmile

Cd 3 here and still full of cold, wish both would bugger off!

hc899 · 08/12/2014 09:51

I've just taken a Tesco test and it was negative! Do you think it's just too early for those ones?

tessiegirl · 08/12/2014 09:56

Fantastic news about the two lines hc899 Was the test line darker today?

I feel sick with nerves here Xmas Confused - 11DPO and I had another high temp this morning (its actually the highest temp of my chart so far). FF has said it looks like a possible triphasic chart as since the spotting I had on 8DPO I have now had three higher temps...do I test again today or wait???? Xmas Hmm

hc899 · 08/12/2014 10:00

Hi tessiegirl. No the line was about the same to be honest, still fairly faint but definitely there. Just puzzled by the negative Tesco test but maybe it's cos AF not due till Fri.

As you're on the same sort of stats as me, I'd try an frer!

BeauticianNotMagician81 · 08/12/2014 10:07

Hc899 if you aren't due for a few days then the Tesco tests probably aren't sensitive enough to detect the pregnancy hormone. The hormone rises the further into pregnancy you get.

Toots possibly tmi but I know how not to keep the seamen in by you going on top. I tried this the other night and lost most of it when I tried to elegantly get off Dh . I wait about 20 mins before going to the loo I usually spend most of those minutes with my hips raised.

BeauticianNotMagician81 · 08/12/2014 10:08

Seamen lol at autocorrect semen

tessiegirl · 08/12/2014 10:09

What a nervous time!!

Does it say on the Tesco test what sensitivity it has?

I feel too scared to do a FRER!! Although I have got a pot of my fmu that I saved and put in the cupboard (!!) just in case I decided to test I thought that would probably be the best to test with... Every little feeling I have down there I am convinced its AF arriving...horrible

Blimeygirl · 08/12/2014 10:17

Hey ladies! Can anyone join this thread as me and dh are hoping for a BFP for Christmas as AF is due on the 22nd. It is only cycle #1 though but we have been delaying it for awhile! Sounds like this might be a lucky thread though!

tessiegirl · 08/12/2014 10:26

Of course, welcome Blimeygirl! Best of luck!!

Blimeygirl · 08/12/2014 10:29

Thanks tessie! Am ludicrously excited now!! Sad I know!

hc899 · 08/12/2014 10:39

Soooo nervous tessiegirl - you'd think that with two positive frers I'd be feeling fine but I've just got this awful feeling that they're not real and that I need to have a positive from a more official test, plus I've got that feeling that you get when your period is coming on....not fun! I'm conscious of what happened to you sammylou with your false positive, so trying not to get my hopes up.

Clinging to the fact that the frer is meant to be over 99% accurate!
