Irregular periods?

What counts as irregular?
So far mine have been :
Stopped the cerazette pill may 20th - then the cycle lengths:-
32, 29, 31, 29, 26 & 33.
It was reg up unti last two. I've tried the ovulation clear blue dual hormone digital kit for 3 months, I don't get a peak fertility, just blank and then high fertility.
I was in depot inj two years ago and been on contraception since 16 - now 29. I've tried fertility spray from boots as well.
Any advice?

My periods were always regular, 28-29 days like clockwork until recently.
I stopped contraception (Nuvaring) in March and had normal periods in April, May, and June. In July I was 36 days (came in August), then none until October (58 days), then 43 days. I read online that cinnamon can help regularize periods and for the last two long periods I drank cinnamon tea 3x a day for the week before my period finally arrived. So I think it has some effect.

I have started taking evening primrose and agnus castus this cycle to see if it improves things.

It seems to me it's common for periods to become more irregular several months off of birth control, from what I've been reading online. I am going to try acupuncture next if the herbs don't help.

Mine always irreg when they started they were 35 days or thereabouts.

Stopped Yasmin, no bleed, conceived DD without really trying within three months. Knew nothing about irreg cycles potentially causing issues.

Conceived DC2 (now 18 weeks preg) within 8 months of coming off Yasmin and some quite concerted trying! Got myself into a massive tizz about period dates (ranged from 28-33) and organised blood tests and all that malarkey when I should have just chilled the hell out and let it happen instead of obsessively noting down 'symptoms' and counting days every day.

I was reading it could be a sign of pcos? And to get blood tests If you see irregular periods after 6 months, I'm not sure to ring gp or not? I have been really relaxed this last month not thinking about it, then this cycle mucked up

I asked a relative who is a doctor if she thought I had PCOS and she said it's normally diagnosed earlier in life (teenage years) and that in addition to irregular periods the main symptoms are being overweight and hirsute (that is, hairy), none of which apply to me. She thinks it's extremely unlikely that someone who always had regular periods before birth control has PCOS. Unless you have been on BC for so many years that you don't know if your cycle would have been regular without it.

Short story - don't worry unless you have had other symptoms throughout your life.

I just thought i would drop off some advice if you don't mind.

I have irregular periods but on a much more irregular scale. Mine are generally 90 days plus. As we are TTC, you can imagine how frustrating that must be. So I had all the necessary checks at the Gp, lots of blood tests and they all came back normal. PCOS, prolactin, LH,FSH, the whole lot. So irregular cycles doesnt always mean there is something 'wrong' - my GP doesnt know why my cycles are so long but I started doing a bit of reading on Acupuncture. I had my first session last friday which was day 49 of my cycle - 6 days later I got my period which is insanely quick for me. I know that I did not ovulate in my last cycle but I am now taking soy isoflavones (over the counter herbal remedies) in the hope that they will encourage me to ovulate and help the acupuncture to regulate my cycle. I dont want to advise you of anything definite as I am not 100% educated on it all and havent had my BFP YET but I would point you in the direction of some other threads on here for you to do some reading...

There is lots of advice on there and mots more success stories - have a little read through, you may find something of interest/help to you.

Other than that, take the advice of the other girls, do relax as stress does not help you in body or mind... Sounds like you are pretty new to TTC so you may be one of the lucky ones and catch very soon, no point in getting stressed over something that may not affect you yet :) Wishing you lots of luck!
