Lets be thankful this Thanksgiving for our BFP!

Ok, so we didn't all get our BFP's for Halloween as we hoped.
But we pick ourselves up, dust ourselves down, and try again (every 2-3 days )

So with opks, thermometers, lotions and potions all at the ready, let's get this mission started.

Good news that at least you know whats happening now Kellie and we have better luck next cycle (pregnancy right before Christmas sure would be exciting!)

Ah I've been struck down with a similar sounding virus Bluecoconut, is terrible isn't it-over a week later and I'm finally almost back to normal so hopefully you're on the mend now too. Oh no, fingers crossed you get lucky anyway bluecoconut, never know.

I've signed up to fertility friend which tells me fertile time starts Thursday so I've warned DH!

I'm just gonna go with the flow this month... Don't think I will do opks... My app has messed up on me because of the long first cycle and it's now predicting my next period in 7 weeks time lol it hasnt had a normal length cycle yet to work it out so I'm not sure when I will be ovulating really... So if it happens it happens if not hopefully the following month we will be in a better position to work it all out.

Hope yous get rid of the virus as well... I've had it 2 weeks now sore heads and a cough that's kept me up at night it's just starting to bugger off now. Mix 2 tbsp of honey into a drink of diluted juice made with hot water..it really helped ease my cough xx

Hi girls... Sorry to hear you've all been feeling so rough wishing you all a big get well soon .. All is good here ..got my smiley face today (cd14) which is 2 days earlier than last month and I've also got some nice ewcm to go with it this time which I didn't have last month so it's all about that bass for me for the next 2 or 3 days lol xx

I'm still on at unfortunately :( wish it would bugger off now so I can start again! It's a weird period as well this will be my first proper one since coming off the pill tho sorry for tmi but it's been quite dark brown blood and quite light although sometimes during the day I will loose a bit of bright red blood... I usually bleed heavily but i could use only one pad a day and it still wouldn't have too much on it the bright red blood seems to be when I'm wiping after the toilet just.... Was hoping it would get heavier but it hasn't so I hope it's just not going to linger for weeks now instead! X

DH wants to "really go for it next month" , but I am a bit .

As I said before, the thought of MIL and a sober Christmas are unbearable.

Hi blue nice to hear your feeling a little better ! I don't think the placenta starts working straight away if you do conceive so maybe you can have the best of both worlds

I'm sure a wee drink at Xmas would be fine... What about all those people who didn't find out they were pregnant till later on lol
With my ds I didn't find out until I was 12 weeks pregnant with him.... In those 12 weeks I was out partying at least twice a week smoking and drinking loads... I obviously wouldn't have done it if I had of knew and i gave up smoking right away and drinking (had a bad hangover the week before so didn't take too much to give up the drinking completely lol) and it really didn't do him any harm although I did panic for the first while they it migjt have done along with the not eating healthy the working 60-70 hour week and not taking any vitamins or folic acid whereas this time I'm trying and obsessing about all these things especially the folic acid lol x

Sorry you're out this month blue and hope af leaves you soon kellie-mine lasted longer than usual this month too. I'm on day 17 and still not ovulated, I've discovered that I ovulated quite late in the month so I hope my luetal phase isn't too short-can't believe the amount of ttc knowledge I have learnt this month-my husband was like what on earth is a luetal phase haha. Finally getting some cm so going to have a busy few days dtd!

My af is still here and I have no idea where I am in cycle because one minute I'm just brown discharge or brown spotting and the next minute I have some bright red blood so not sure when to start cd1 arrrgghhh.. Im gonna use opks again this month (Internet cheapie as soon as I stop bleeding and will them confirm with clear blues if I need to) and am trying to work out how to chart temperatures as well! It's all a lot more confusing than I thought lol!

Hope it stops for you soon, I got light brown flow at the end too so didn't count day 1 until it had stopped (but no idea if that's the right thing to do or not?!) Mine lasted 10 days which seems waaay too long to be normal-normally isn't like that so don't know what that as all about. It really is more complicated that I first thought too, am doing well with the temping though-at first kept forgetting to do it when I first woke up but now am in a good pattern and always seem to remember within a minute or two of waking up :) Temps looking good so far (I took a few last month which showed my after ovulation temp so is low as I expect-hopefully in a few days it will rise!)

Hi Kellie and Kate. I have worked out that af would be due around the 20th, so I would know a few days before Christmas. I Know somebody like you Kellie who didn't know they was pregnant until they were 16 weeks. They had drunk like a fish and they and the child (now 10) are fine.

With DS I had the occasional small glass of wine with a meal when pregnant. He has a disability and while all the professionals have told me the occasional glass of wine will not have caused his difficulties, it is always a niggle in the back of my mind. Therefore for me I don't drink the week or two before af due and I wouldn't drink again when pregnant.

Tbh I am struggling to think of anybody that I know who totally abstained for the whole nine months

I'm due to test again in 5 days,I don't think there's much chance this month as my ov caught me out a bit this time by happening 3 days earlier than last month but did manage to dtd the day of + opk and the day after,just didn't manage to get any in during the run up to it... But you never know eh xx

How annoying you were so unwell during ovulation time blue-unfair isn't it! Hopefully you're not too disappointed and next month for you is more successful :)

Kate not long for you to test then, last month I found the last few days of waiting the worst so hopefully you're doing ok! Sounds like theres still a good chance you caught the egg even if you didn't manage to dtd on the run up to ovulation-it only takes one!

Lots of EWCM here so I'm expecting ovulation any day now-never seem to get a positive opk so just waiting for temp to confirm it. Was speaking to my mum yesterday about trying to conceive and she said it took her over a year-so I guess I need to be more realistic about being patient (im only on cycle 3)

AF was due today. But there is nothing, and no signs of her being on her way. She better bloody hurry up, otherwise, my next cycle could run over Christmas. Imagine being good and abstaining, just in case. Then on 27th December AF decides to pop by

That's good bluecoconut and kate that no sign of AF yet! Although if she is to show up for you blue sounds like the sooner the better for you!! Fingers crossed, I understand the not testing too early disappointment Kate as I tested too early last month and swore I wouldn't again!

Not a great month for me here as despite good CM and a positive opk my temperatures haven't risen at all (when I roughly temped last month they did :( ) which indicates that I haven't ovulated (its now day23 so I should have by now!) So thinking it must be one of those cycles you don't ovulate which is a waste of a month but oh well!

well how is everyone did we have no bfps later in november :( i havent been trying this month sickness is going round our house and to top it all off i had my phone stolen so lost all my previous cycles in the app flip sake and because my cycles are so messed up i have no idea where abouts i am now...im just gonna give it a break now and forget about it until next period which i hope will come before xmas and i will get on it again ! x

Sorry for your negative kate-yes onwards and upwards! And sorry Kellie-are your details stored online somewhere that you can log back in and get them? I use fertility friend so use it on my phone and laptop. No luck in this thread so far but hopefully won't be too long before one of us gets a BFP!

I'm on 8/9DPO (I think it's 8 but fertility friend says 9) so am thinking I should know either way by the weekend. I ovulated late so am on day 31 so keep checking for no AF whenever I go to the bathroom!

i think im in the running for a bfp before xmas again wahey ! i wasnt doing opks this month wasnt even having much sex with everyone being sick off and on in the house we thot we would give it a break this month dtd last night then today i had kinda low back pain did a one off opk and it was a definite no denying it positive so we dtd tonight again and will try for tomorrow night or sat morning as well and then its onto the 2ww ! fingers crossed and baby dust to you all as well xxxxxx

I'm still waiting here on 10/11 DPO, I think AF is due about now so we will see! Had the tiniest bit of spotting on Wednesday so I thought it was AF but nope, luckily wasn't so that was a bit weird!

Seriously shaking here, just did a pregnancy test (only an internet cheap one!) and its positive!!! I can't quite believe it! Its still so early too! Typically I'm working late tonight so won't see my husband until really late tonight and he will probably be asleep so I am going to have to wait and tell him tomorrow morning :) I'm just really hoping this pregnancy sticks!!
