Ovulation sticks - confused?

Hi ladies,

it doesn't take much to confuse me and i am new to all this ttc stuff so was hoping someone could clarify some things for me?

started trying last month, wasn't tracking ovulation or anything, just stopped using protection, didn't conceive.

i bought some ovulation tests for this month. used the first one on sat morning and it was negative, forgot to use one yesterday, used one this morning and it was positive. am i correct in thinking this means i'll ovulate tomorrow? it doesn't mean i'm ovulating today? would it pick up on the day i ovulate or only the 24-36 hours before i ovulate (LH surge or something? told you i'm knew to this!)

i'm a bit worried that we haven't has sex enough in advance. only had sex once last night (1am) and also once this morning. will there be enough sperm in my body? i assume i need to DTD again tonight and also tomorrow?

thanks in advance.

If u get a postive..means ur going to ovulate in next 24ish hours. If its not as dark as the control line you might have caught the surge on the way up or the way down...
I would DTD the next 2 days too.
It only takes one sperm! So there's a chance you might be lucky!
Good luck!

Thanks for replying, both lines were dark, infact i'd say the test line was slightly more prominent. Does this mean anything in terms of when i'll ovulate?

So i'm guessing I should get to it again tonight & also tomorrow?

If you dtd tbis morning I would leave till tomorrow because apparently the more often you DTD the less good quality the sperm becomes. My fertility clinic suggested I dtd every other day rather than every day. I think a good chance of ovulating today or tomorrow - remember the sperm stick around to look for an egg so DTD this morning was a good call.

Thanks Christelle.

Also DTD about 1am, but someone got excited and tried to change position and it all went a bit wrong Blush not sure much sperm went where it should have.
