Hi all,

We're TTC #1 but as yet are able to do the trying part because I've not had my first proper cycle after stopping the pill. I'm on CD58 and AF should be due now according to Ovia.

Thing is, I had all pre-ovulatory signs (pain, positive LH) over 2 weeks ago so should be 18dpo but didn't see a temp spike afterwards so know it didn't happen. Last couple of days however I've had really itchy nipples, not just around but like right in there & I'm very aware of my boobs. I also have a dull prodding ache on the left side of pelvis. Pregnancy test is negative.

Can anyone tell me if they've experienced the same & what's happening?

This waiting for the first period is massively frustrating.

Hi N1kkiL It often takes a few months for your cycles to settle down after the pill.

If you didnt see a temp spike and I think its 3 days worth to confirm ovulation its almost definate you didnt ovulate.

However sometimes your body will try again could you be ovulating now?

Ive had all the symptoms under the sun but all pregnancy symptoms can be AF symptoms, I would wait for a few days and do another test if AF hasnt arrived. fx for you

Have you got opk try and see if it shows ovulatio now.

The pill leaves your system very quickly after taking the last tablet.

What were your periods like prior to taking the pill because if they were irregular then they may well revert back to this pattern.

It sounds like your body has tried to ovulate but has not managed to do so.

OPKs are pretty much useless to use if the menstrual cycle is not regular in nature.

If your periods have not returned within the next 3 months or return and stay irregular in nature I would seek medical advice.

Hi all,

I used an OPK & got a positive the same day I had my pelvic twinges & spots but had no temperature spikes during the time between stopping pill and now.

Today I have a pulling feeling in my abdomen but no period as yet!

I told my doctor at a pill check up in April that we were going to start trying & asked if I needed to know/do anything & wasn't told about this wait! Would have stopped then & used condoms had I have known.

No idea what periods were like before, been on the pill since I was about 12/13 because I had horrendous acne.

Good luck to all! Mrsbrionys, I hope you get something soon!
