This may be TMI...but has anyone ever had spotting mid cycle?

Hello everyone
This is my first ever thread! eek Sorry if this is TMI, but i am TTC #1 and yesterday on CD16 I had some brown spotting, and cramps only on one side of my abdomen. I have never experienced this before! Today I have no spotting or cramping and its as if it never happened!
Is this ovulation spotting? Like i said i feel a bit freaked out by it as its never happened to me before! please give me some reassurance or similar experiences!

i am guessing it was ovulation spotting as i havent had any more spotting since!

Could be ovulation spotting (I get that occasionally and it is pretty common). The other option is that you may have ovulated early and it's and implantation bleed.
