Coming off Cerazette (mini-pill)

Hi All, me and my fiancé decided after reading a lot of horrow stories, to come off Cerazette in June to give my body a chance to get back to normal ahead of our wedding so we can ttc afterwards, i'd been on it for over 5 years and its now been 4 months since coming off it and still no period, went to the doctors & got fobbed off until its been 6 months (like 2 more months is going to make a difference) started to feel a bit low about it so thought i'd post on here to see how others are finding the situation!

I got pregnant 2 months after coming of cerazette with DD and after 3 months with DS so no horror stories here. Just hang in there, it's not been very long.

I've just come off it for the very same reason. Only been off it a week and hoping I go back to normal quickly. Fingers crossed you get an answer soon.

Was about four months till I had a period, only one as I immediately got pregnant with DS, there's horror stories about anything if you go looking.

We're TTC number 2 now - hope its as easy!

I came off it in July, had AF the end of July then got my BFP the next cycle.

I would highly recommend temping and using OPKs so you know whether you are ovulating and can use that information when you next see the doctor.

I'm not sure how long I was on it for (changed from Microgynon a few years ago) but I stopped in February, had AF 30 days later and fell pregnant in the first cycle of trying. It must be incredibly frustrating to wait for months for your periods to come back and that's a pretty crap response from your doctor. When are you getting married?

Thanks for all the responses, appreciate that there are horror stories for everything, theres also the good ones which are actually worse because as great as they are, it makes u think what's wrong with me...... Yeah i wasnt impressed but was half expecting it tbh....... Its very frustrating, crazypuglady, i hope you dont have to wait as long! Pisghetti - its a fair while off yet (July 2016) so i'm not massively concerned - it would just be nice to have a regular cycle before then so its easier to monitor, i was fairly irregular before cerazette so hoping ill be more regular when/if it does start again! Siarie, will definately be getting some opk's - thank you all! Its just nice to have some understanding support!

I came off cerazette in august no AF and bfp in September I had no period or withdraw bleed I got told rather than waiting your really fertile when you first stop taking the pill so I didn't wait for a bleed hope u get bfp soon and don't listen to horror stories x
