Anyone TTC after vasectomy reversal op?

Hi! Newbie to the forums :) we have 2 children, 7 and 5 and hubby had a vasectomy almost 5 years ago.... Almost as soon as our youngest was born. He realised quickly after that it was a big mistake. We're speaking with our chosen surgeon in a week and booking the reversal, then it's all aboard the TTC train as soon as he's all healed up :) would love to have some buddies along the way :) it's going to be a fairly long journey I feel, our eldest took a year to conceive our youngest took 9 months with a early mc in between.

I think it's because I was ill at the beginning of my cycle so it threw everything off. Do you have a scan soon? Xx

Hello ladies :) hope you're all well. Just wanted to pop in and give an update :) had my scan yesterday and was brought forward 2 days making me 13 weeks today. Shockingly that means I fell 15 days after the surgery!

Evein ladies, can I join in? My husband had a VR in May 2014 and we are still TTC :(
Feeling pretty down about it all, we know sperms was seen durin the operation and that they were present in the sample 3mths later but know nothing else. One last attempt before visitin the GP for further investigation work.

I searched for ages for a recent UK thread, finally found one!
We have spoken to our GP and he has come back once it is a year and they will help which I was surprised about tbh especially as we can't get treatment in the NHS. It's like telling you the problem but we won't help fix it!
I have tracked ovulation on several months but not all and this month have bought some conceive plus and vitamin tablets so time will tell. Just wondering if taking extra on top of the pregnacare ones will them be too much or will your body just get rid of what isn't needed.
I am just really worried OH'S count is too low and it just won't happen, not sure how I will cope hearing that.

I had really bad side affects from vitamin d, lost apetite and had heart palpatations but thats probably just me, everything seems to affect me badly lol. Is your oh taking vitamins, we cut back on caffine too. Hopefully you will invoke the law of sod by visiting your gp fingers crossed x

Thanks Mrsstickll, we are both taking pregnacare his/hers. I am taking evening primrose oil and using cough medicine to see what happens and I also bought some conceive plus so we will see what this cycle brings.
What cycle is this for you?

I think its cycle 5, i feel like ive lost track already. Was there not a 6 months sa, or did they not feel the need because there was sperm in the 3 month one? I honestly didnt think it would be this hard, they really drum it into you at school that you will get pregnant just by holding hands or something lol no one prepared us for the opposite

No just our 3mth test, I did try to get the OH to question it but where we used wasn't interested in numbers just if there was any present and because it was that was it. And the months went on it got pushed back whilst life went on and now we are here still TTC but he has finally seen just how it is affecting me and is paying an interest in thing!
Just unsure what to do if investigation shows it won't happen, we can't afford fertility treatment so will have to see what comes.

We pretty much was following SMEP but missed one day out and then missed out one day of the solid smile on clearblue but we tried and as it is cycle 12 going to hang on to what hope I have left!
Currently CD21 and 4dpo

Af due in 4 days and I have cold so no idea whats going on.

You are a few days before me, believe my AF is 3rd or 4th but jo idea what to think either. Praying for some miracle!

Sorry to hear that Mrsstickll, I am CD25 and just feel it should arrive any day and I know my LP would be too short for implantation if anything should happen.

CD30, lots of 'symptoms' but negative tests so my hope is fading fast :(

Oh no, how long are your cycles usually? Before i started ttc mine were 28 days everytime, now they are all.over place, not sure what happened. Fingers crossed af stays away for you x
