Anyone TTC after vasectomy reversal op?

Hi! Newbie to the forums :) we have 2 children, 7 and 5 and hubby had a vasectomy almost 5 years ago.... Almost as soon as our youngest was born. He realised quickly after that it was a big mistake. We're speaking with our chosen surgeon in a week and booking the reversal, then it's all aboard the TTC train as soon as he's all healed up :) would love to have some buddies along the way :) it's going to be a fairly long journey I feel, our eldest took a year to conceive our youngest took 9 months with a early mc in between.

I've also felt queasy and warm, even the dh has commented on how I'm like a hot water bottle hopefully it's not a bug lol, eating seems to ease the queayness though.

Hiya ladies, I think I o'd fri or sat....I spot when I ov sometimes...and I spotted friday....so assumed it happened....Not testing for ov or anything.

My OH is having a real hard time. We have dtd a few times but one of his stitches have split open and he has an open wound which is v stingy and sore now. :( he is acknowledged at work today....but he really prob shouldn't be :(

When are u all due af??

I'm so sorry to hear your OH is not healing well! When did he have the VR? Have you spoken to the surgeon?
AF due 10/11 feb... Lots of symptoms... Nauseous/ sore nipples/ a feeling of fullness/ funky restless dreams and for the last day I have had what I can only describe as a real irritable feeling inside me like I wanna pop?! (But don't if that makes any sense!!!) anyway I think I may just check myself into a mental asylum when AF shows!

Haha.... Don't force the OH to dtd just incase you do any damage... Better to delay a month or two then do it when he's in full health! Get him some metatone, it's a liquid supplement given after surgery when your rundown to boost healing/ immunity!

Due Af on 8th, the pregnant lady at works last day is tomorrow, every office needs a pregnant lady right? I dreamt someone else at work announced they were pregnant and I was so mad that I wasn't going to be the next office pregnant lady lol deary me think I'll be in the asylum with you pitterpatter

Hope your dh is feeling better soon wanting make him rest and get him to doctors, better be on the safe side x

How's the symptoms? Have you POAS yet?! I am holding out till Saturday... Got it in my head to test then... In fact I dreamt it! Had some crazy ass dreams and travelling next week so would like to know beforehand if by some amazing miracle it's a BFP!
My hubby has picked up on my symptoms ( mainly the carsickness) so maybe, just maybe in not mad... Or maybe we both are?!!!! Haha

I feel ok atm, usually by afternoon I start to feel queasy, and smells seems to be 10x as strong making me feel worse. My dreams are craz, think I dreamt I was in the hunger games lol, if I'm not pregnant I must be ill! I've not poas but I think that's because there's none in the house, I'm trying to hold off buying one because I know when I do I won't be able to resist, I think Af is actually due on 10th so might try to wait til Sunday when there's no work and we are alone. Poas party this weekend.
If we don't get BFP's then we both obviously have the same illness haha.

I'm due on 10/11... So fighting with myself to hold on a little longer!

It doesn't mean anything till af arrives! I thought I was going to come on yesterday, got all the pulling and aches but nothing... Poas = N :-( no suprise tho... I know it's too early really! At least now I can't test as I don't have any!!!

Anyway fell asleep yesterday at 8pm and slept through till 6am, nipples feel a little funny and feeling car sick but feeling very 'normal' now compared to before... if that's such a thing?!

Hi girls!
wanting my DHs stitches split open, thankfully this happened after my fertile time! Has he tried salt baths to keep it nice and clean? If he gets sore at all, make sure he sees a Dr to get antibiotics.
Good luck testing this weekend pitter and mrs! I KNEW from about 4dpo I was pregnant and symptoms started at 6dpo, but it took until 10dpo to get an undeniable line :) had my booking in appointment on Monday, this is where all the talk of breastfeeding comes in :/ joy! I'm now 8+3 and waiting for my 12 week scan appointment to come through! Can't wait! Just hoping its around 12 weeks and not later as my eldest has an op in March, I want that stress out of the way before I have a poorly child at home :/

spam he isn't infected just has a slow healing wound....and Unfortunately he isn't all the capable of abstaining as he is like a duracell bunny since his op :) :) :) :)......well he wants to be. ;) but im not letting him generally. :/ :(

We managed to dtd around when I thought I was ov. And also around time my rough guide told me I'm due to ov...but who knows what will happen . X

Let us know when ur 12 week scan Is.

TMI moment ladies....

My husband informed me last night while dtd that my cervix is extremely low, squiggy and almost bulging! He says he's never felt anything like it since we have been together (8yrs). Now I have had a feel and it certainly feels bery obvious and 'ripe'! what does it mean?
AF due on 10/11th... We roughly dtd around O but have not properly charted yet, I'm just using a generic calender based on cycle length ect...

How's the ttw? IVe been feeling so sick in the afternoon/ Eve's... Af due in 3 days, had some what I would call pre af twinges but no sign of af yet! Trying to persuade oh to get me a test but he thinks I should wait till 13th when we are back in the UK... aaarrrggghhh

Hello ladies,
This is my first post on Mumsnet. Eek!
My husband had a vasectomy reversal with Mr Swinn at Gatwick on Monday so we will soon be entering the Trying To Conceive world. I'm very nervous. Neither of us already have children and I'm 37 so positively ancient in the baby-making world. My periods are pretty regular so I'm hoping that's a good sign. We're going to start the WellMan and WellWoman conception vitamins and I also read somewhere that kiwi fruits are great for fertility...
I'm not expecting to fall pregnant immediately and anticipating a tough journey ahead but utterly determined that we will become parents, somehow, eventually.
Hubby is recovering well from the op and has two weeks off work due to having a fairly physical job. The hardest thing is that I'm having to do all the cooking at the moment... He loves cooking and normally prepares the most delicious meals. I specialise in cheesy beans on toast...!
Anyway, I'm looking forward to being able to turn to Mumsnet for online support during our journey!

pitterpatter I was feeling queasy too but that stopped about 2 days ago and now Af is making her appearance got cramps etc. Gutted. 13th is ages!!! Fingers crossed Af keeps away for you x

Welcome Mrswatts glad your hubby is recovering nicely, my oh is taking the wellman supplements but I'm just taking folic acid because I didn't want anything to mess with my cycles.

MrsWatts we used Mr Swinn also on the 19 Jan. :)

My OH is finally healed. Well he has a nasty scar which I'm hoping will continue to heal and look better and better. But his stitches have all dissolved. We have emails Mr Swinn on various occasions to keep him informed and seek advice. Which mostly he has told us not to worry unless we feat there is an infection.

Right soz for tmi....but has anyone notice there OH ejaculate smells stronger? My man's smells awfully erm....spunky. as I have said already it is thicker also. So hoping the changes are positive.
His boys are still sitting oddly....One very high and one lower. And his tummy is still a little tender. But all good now. :) :)

I'm guessing my af will be due within the next week. My cycles vary a bit in length....but I think could be as early as the weekend....or into mid week. Trying not to obsess or worry whilst I don't even know if it's possible... :)
