How long after mc/cp?

I've just had a chemical pregnancy.
We've been trying for no2 a long time now and I'm devastated to have thought we'd finally done it. .only for our hopes to be dashed. Anyway.

I forgot to ask the Dr when we could try again. ..Google throwing mixed reviews. I'm too scared to try too soon. I read something about allowing three months for the lining to thicken up again?! I'm so scared we'll suffer another mc or have another one of these chemical pregnancies. .

I think that advice is outdated now. After my cp, I waited 1 cycle to 'clear out' (although I don't think you even need to do this, I felt better this way) then started ttc again, and conceived my dd straight away. I hope the same happens for you.

I'm going through a mc now.

When I spoke to the sonographer on Friday to have the mmc confirmed she said you can ttc straight away but she did add that they like you to have a period to help with dating - no other reason.

I was told by my doctor after my mc that you don't have to wait at all if you don't want to. They used to say to wait at least one cycle but that was more for ease of dating a pregnancy. I conceived immediately after my mc without a period in between and DS is now nearly 2yo. You are more fertile after a miscarriage, so as long as you are ready to fall pregnant again mentally and emotionally, it is the best time to try.

Quin- I'm so sorry. . I'm a bit of a wreck right now and imagine it's a little like what you are feeling. (????I'm assuming I had a cp, there's a very likely chance I was futher along but it only occurred to me I hadn't had a period in a couple of months and I only had positive pregnancy tests for a week or so before they got fainter and I began bleeding etc) I hope you get your rainbow baby soon x

I'm really scared that getting pregnant asap will confuse my body and ill suffer another loss. Will my uterus get to work making a good home asap?
