Hi all.
I'm TTC and am now in my TWW for the 3rd time.
The problem i have is that i work in a sociable company and i've had a reputation over the years of enjoying a drink.

I want to cut down a bit to increase my chances but i also don't want people asking questions as to why i'm not drinking when we go out. Also when i'm on the TWW i don't think i should be drinking at all so i'm turning down invitations to go out completely.

I have said that i'm doing Sober October for now but i never realised the pressure that people put you under to drink. I know it's no one business as to why i'm not drinking and i think after October i'll just say i'm trying to cut it out for health reasons but i wondered if anyone else has this issue?
Why do people have a such an issue about other people drinking or not?

Could you say you're on antibiotics. Or order a shady and pretend it's a regular pint.

When I first started TTC I was really strict in the TWW but after a while it got tedious and the truth is the baby doesn't really get anything from you that early anyway (not saying you should get plastered but one or two drinks will be fine).

I have been ttc since last summer so have become a bit of a pro at this - I have found that lemonade and lime or soda and lime works well, I just tell people there is vodka in it. Either that or I say I am driving. I hope that helps!
