Hi all.

I had the Mirena out 11 days ago. On day 2 I started bleeding and it carried on until day 5. Started checking cervix position/texture/mucus and using OPKs. From Tuesday onwards ovulation was indicated by all of them.

Last night we DTD. This morning I wake up to find blood Blush and am still spotting lightly now. Is this normal or not?!

I'm thinking that the Mirena has made my cycle as scatty as the Implanon did 4 years ago (lots of on and off bleeding at random times for 4 months after removal even tho ovulation indicated etc but didn't actually get pregnant till month 5)

It varies from person to person but the progesterone withdrawal can muddle with your cycle for a few weeks after removal. Consult your doctor, if you are actively TTC. Heavy, lighter, random bleeding has been reported after Mirena removal. My first period after Mirena removal lasted for a month with heavy bleeding for 1st fifteen days. It took 7 months for my periods to be regular and after one year of ttc, I finally got pregnant. I would not advise anyone Mirena.
Hope you sort out your issue at earliest. Take care.

I love the Mirena. I had one in for 5 years no periods and conceived DD after 6 months. I had my 2nd one removed in July this year and didn't bleed until 28 days then again another 28 days. I think my doc said that it can take a few months for your normal periods and cycle to return so I wouldn't worry for a few months yet. I'm actively ttc no.2 and no joy as yet on cycle 3 at the mo but I have low AMH levels
