Have I gone mad or has the nurse got confused? Day 3/21 results.

My consulting nurse asked me to take a day 3/21 test to check in ovulating. Initially she asked me just to take day 21, so I booked that in, then she rang me and said after taking advice they want a day 3 too so they could have a base level to compare the 21 day against. All good, booked that in.

I did my day 3 last Friday, I've just received a message from my doctors surgery to ask me to come in for a review as my test result has shown low Progesterone.

Now am I mad or have I not even completed the test yet? Surely Progesterone levels would be low on day 3? I have explained all of the above to Reception and stated that I think the Consulting nurse may be reading the day 3 result as the day 21 result (not yet done) but I'm now doubting myself and wondering if something bad has shown up on day 3 and that's why she wants me in.

I thought the day 3 and 21 test had to be done on the same cycle?
I've never heard of a consulting nurse though? Surely doctors read all results and advice bloods regarding fertility?

Yep it will be done in the same cycle. I think the nurse is called a consulting practitioner or something. Anyway they rang me back and agreed that a review should take place after my day 21 is taken. I think that's a polite way of agreeing they fucked up lol.

The day 3 and day 21 tests can be done on the same cycle (and these should be repeated as well).

Day 3 test should measure and compare LH and FSH levels against each other, not progesterone (that is done on the day 21 test).
