periods but no ovulation??????

is this possible?

i ask as i have been having regular periods and spotting since july (had last depo jab in feb) but have been taking ovulation tests virtually every day since and havent had a positive ovulation test yet infact im barely getting a control line

i know that ity can take up to a year for full fertilty to return when you have been on depo but is this normal i thought that periods meant my fertility was back but obviuosly i was wrong

i spoke to my gp back in june when i was sufferng alot of cramps and she said if nothing happens by christmas go and see her after that but im so impatient and worried that there is something i could be doing now

please help any advie appreciated

Totally possible - my periods returned right away when I came off the Pill, but an ultrasound scan showed I was not ovulating.

Are you checking for ovulation any other way (temping etc)? OPKs don't work for everyone.

I have no experience of depo, but have come across people whose fertility took a little while to come back after last injection. I hope yours gets there soon!

DOn't mean to sound like a biology teacher but period happen when the lining of your womb is shed as there is no fertilised egg about. If you aren't ovulating ( which is normal after coming off depo/pill for up to six to tweleve months) there won't be an fertilised egg so you will have your period as normal.
I hope that doesn't sound patronising. I just hope it might explain how you can have periods but not ovulate.
But just to confuse matters you get people who conceive after missing two pills or being late for their injection. (Just as you think you have it figured out your body pulls a fast one)

im just obsessing as usual because after i was on depo before i was preganant within 7 months of my last jab

so what now do i wait or go bug my doc again!
