Ewcm... For just one afternoon?

Hi.
I'm currently in month 2 of ttc#1. First month off the pill, my period came after 28 days like clockwork but I had no symptoms that I ovulated at all that month.... This month I've been monitoring much more closely and think I ov'd around day 14 because I had ewcm but it literally was only there when I went to the toilet once (way tmi... Sorry!). I made sure that dh and I dtd plenty when we needed to but why would my cm have only been like egg whites for such a short period of time? Has anyone else experienced that? I've bought some ic opk's but will wait til next month to use them if no bfp. Af is due next week if my ovia app is correct and my cycle is 28days again this month!
I can't believe how much I'm learning throughout this experience - just when I thought I knew everything I needed to know about my body! X

Hello OP how old are you? The number of days you get ewcm for can decrease with age. I'm reading the book 'Taking charge of your fertility' by Toni Weschler and it says so in the book.

Hi Emz when i think i ovd i was really wet with lots of clear watery cm on the days leading up to it, but only one day of actual ewcm like you said. But apparently some people do not ever get ewcm, just lots of the watery kind and still get bfps

Hi thanks for your replies - I'm 25 so would hope that age isn't much of a factor at the mo!
Have read good reviews about pre seed and conceive plus so might try one of those if my cm doesn't regulate soon.
