BFP, evap or BFN?

Hi ladies

I am 8DPO today and got a positive on an opk and what I think is an evap on an hpt. Please put my out of my misery and tell me I am being stupid!! The line on hpt is very very faint and you can't really see more than a shadow on the pic

I'm rubbish at these so wont comment on the tests but I'd say retest tomorrow. Hope you get BFP

Hope you don't mind me hijacking your thread, did a test today, not due on until Wednesday though and I see a line! But I have to hold it up to the light! Hubby doesn't see it! I see a line on yours so good luck! :-)

Hi belle I see more of a line on yours than mine! Have you done and opk as well? Just been out and got a tesco own brand and a clear blue double pack. Am only 8dpo by my reckoning though so am tryin to hold out using proper tests until I am 12dpo unless I get a proper line on an IC before then!

I think our lines look pretty similar, you can't see mine if it isn't in the light and on an angle! But it did appear quite quickly within the time frame, fingers crossed! What's an opk?? I think I ovulated around 1st/2nd September so I would only be 9/10 dpo. We had a chemical pregnancy in June though so I'm well aware this could be another! I bought some tesco tests yesterday and am also waiting for some proper lines on ic's before using them! This will be 3rd baby for me...eeeekkk (I hope it will be!!)

An opk is an ovulation prediction kit. I peed on one of those too, at 8dpo and it was positive. Rumour is that it can mistake hcg for LH as they have similar helical structures so can be an early sign o pregnancy if you get a positive after ovulation has occurred. Or I am ovulating really late... But don't have any ov symptoms so who knows! Re pg symptoms I had quite a few up to 4dpo but subsided now. Still quite wet if you know what I mean had loads of creamy cm but this has now gone clear. Cervix has gone high I can barely reach it an feels soft apparently that can be a symptom. And am v hungry! Had v sore nips few day after ov but that gone now. What about you?

Oh and this will be my first if I get a bfp - so all a complete mystery to me!

That all sounds very promising! I've never used an opk. I'm extremely bloated, have heavy sensitive boobs, and feel extremely periody (achey like I'm going to get my period), I had it with my previous children too. I will be testing again in the morning and we'll see what we get! Do let me know what happens for u too? What date would you be due if you are? I would be 24th June 15....wishful thinking! :-)

Yes let me know how you do too! This is my first cycle of the pill so not sure exactly when af will arrive I think sometime between wed and fri. I ov'd on 3 oct by my calcs. Going to keep testing until af or bfp! Think I would be due 25 June if I get a bfp this cycle :)

Have ordered FRER off internet as dont sell them here to put me out of my misery! But they wont arrive til Wednesday so have to keep doing the ICs...

I can't see anything on the most recent test, sorry. But if it helps I tested negative on ICs at 10dpo despite getting a positive on a FRER at 8dpo! Currently 9 weeks pregnant. All is not lost. Maybe wait til weds to not drive yourself crazy. FRER will give you fairly clear answer by then.

Hi op, pretty much same situation as you, still such a faint line on the ic, you can only see it when you hold it to the light. Starting to think it's an evap line, although it does come up quickly. Maybe it's another chemical pregnancy :-( I've taken the tesco test and that's a bfn. With my dd, I got a bfp 2/3 days before af, that was a tesco test. So I'm not holding out a lot of hope, I've ordered a frer, with next day delivery it'll be here tomorrow so will know for sure. Hope you get your bfp soon! :-)

Hi belle my FRER will be here tomorrow too! Another v faint line on an IC can only see of squinting under a lamp... Seems odd to get 3 evap in a row but then again they are cheap tests. Going to hold out doing a proper test til wed if I can as that is cd28 (af should arrive between 28 and 32 not sure which) had cramps today thinking af arriving but just lots of cm so will have to see...

You would get a strong line on an hcg days before a opk would show up.

So....done another 2 ic's this morning (not with fmu) and they both have a visible pink line, still faint but darker than the others! Due tomorrow so hopefully af won't come and I will get a proper bfp! Fingers x! Still worried though but I guess every pregnancy's different so I shouldn't compare. With my ds we weren't trying so only tested after af had been late about a week, it was obviously very dark. Maybe it's another boy...there is a theory about hcg levels being lower with boys :-) OP did your frer arrive this morning? Mine didn't so will have to wait until tomorrow!

Did more ICs and they showed faint lines. Got my FRER and it was stark white negative. So guess those lines we evaps. Jut waiting for af now! Congrats on your bfp belles hope it is a bfp!

Ah well op maybe mine are evap lines too. Seems strange to get consistent evap lines though. 3 today so far! Hubby still can't see them though so possibly all in my head...he has awful eyesight though! Eeeeekkk will let you know tomorrow, it is so frustrating isn't it. Trying hard not to get excited. Fingers crossed for you still though :-)
