Hi I'm a newbie.
I came off the pill early this year and have now got to about CD220.
I headed to my GP who in fairness has turned out to be a bit of a reassuring legend. He did ask me to wait for six months. I saw him again and have been referred for a gynaecology appointment in 2 weeks.
He ordered blood tests and everything apparently looks fine.I'm a bit scared and gradually turning into a google obsessed basket case. I have a few questions for anyone who has been through this:
- What do the hormone levels actually mean; I can't find anything that takes them in the round. A friend mentioned that the ratio of two of them was important, which two?
- I was extremely vitamin D deficient a couple of years ago. I don't feel as ill but could this still be a factor? Should I mention it?
- What should I expect at the appointment (it's the first)? What should I ask? What's likely to happen next?
- I have a healthy BMI (20-21) but low body fat and exercise a bit; how much exercise is too much? I'm doing less now than I did when I was younger and even than a couple of years ago. Am trying to gain more weight (I know, terrible problem to have) but it's just making me miserable
- Is it possible to PCOS with no other symptoms than secondary amenorrea?
Any advice gratefully received; having never been particularly maternal in the past, it's really getting to me. As illogical as it is, I really feel like I'm letting DH down right now :(.
