Thanks sunbathing. Hope the seat is heated, it's freezing here today! Found out this morning at soft play that my dd apparently has a thing for flapjack so I'll no doubt be baking some with her - I'll bring a batch along to the Pregtober graduate thread if I get my bfp and share it around

That's my understanding too sunbathing re oils - I had a facial at a place we were staying in January when I was v early pg and the lady had to ask because of the oils she was going to use. She also missed out a phase of the facial because it wasn't advised for the pg folk.

Definitely correct about the type of oils but it also depends on the type of massage you have booked.

I was on holiday in the caribbean and I wanted a full body massage (I was at an all inclusive resort after getting my bfp - no rum cocktails for Jackie!) and the therapist wouldn't do it.

She said particularly in the early stages of pregnancy they wouldn't do a full body massage - maybe because of all the pummelling??
I had a facial instead.

I had a massage when I was 39 weeks pregnant. They have a special table with a hole for your bump!

It was the most exquisite bliss after 7 months of not laying on my front!

9/10 dpo here and have started getting the pre AF cramps - I'm now on knicker watch waiting for her arrival - I hope she gets lost and gives up!

I was refused a full strength full body massage because I was ttc. I think I posted about it on here. She said it was the pummelling etc certain areas they wouldn't massage.

I would imagine as long as they use certain oils and it's more of a relaxing one it would be fine?? I know for example reflexology isn't advised for the first 12 weeks but can't see why a gentle back massage would be an issue? I'm no expert though!

interesting about alcohol and implantation - but it's made me worry now.

Where are all the bfp's hiding? Surely we are due some more now.....
I should really hop on to the November bus now as I haven't managed to dtd with OH once. Not even a little bit and it's CD 20 -ish I've lost track- but I think I'll stay here for a bit to keep an eye on everyone.
For next month's cycle I have ordered some boots opks. Anybody else used these? Hopefully they'll be ok and we can narrow down the best days to dtd. Eod was obviously far too ambitious for us! I've also ordered some sperm friendly lube (boots make I think). I'm determined to get things going next cycle

Thought I would do a stats update to see if it coaxes anymore bfps out of hiding!

Secret I used the Boots opks this cycle.

I found them good, got a strong positive on one the second day I started using them, and then weaker lines the following two days until it was back to negative.

I don’t seem to get a positive on the internet cheapy ones.

I don’t know if they worked of course! I should know by early next week if I get my bfp.

Just re read my post and it sounds like I've managed to dtd with someone other than OH. I haven't! No dtd with anyone at all. Honest

How often did you use them jackie ? I've never used any before.

Afternoon ladies! Thanks again for all your kind comments and support yesterday, I've given myself a shake and am back to trying to thing positively about things... I guess everyone's allowed an off day once in a while though right?!

CD17 today and my opk this morning was only slightly darker the previous days, I am hoping if I test this evening and tomorrow morning it will get darker still and get a + in the next day or so... Loads and loads of CM and am very 'aware' of my nipples right now which is a good sign I think as the past two cycles they have been sore around ovulation time.

DTD last night again but will need to let OH rest tonight as he threw his back out 'on the job' lol! I made sure and rubbed some deep heat before we went to sleep and told him this morning we could have the night off as still no positive. He looked relieved!

I have just been dtd with dh this month...maybe next month I will try someone else and just say 'well there are other ladies on mn that have tried it'

Resolved not to test this month.....I've kept this up and 90% of me still thinks I will
....however my resolve was for hpt's not opks! So i have just used an ic opk and got a bit of a line. I had also used ic opks around the same time last month 'just to see what what happening' and got no lines.

Please someone tell me to stop using opks!

Well last cycle I only used ICs once a day and I was annoyed because I never got a strong positive, but instead lines for 4 or 5 days (which according to the instructions are negative). I was waiting for a positive that never came! So I just tried to DTD when i saw EWCM, but I didn't get pregnant.

So this month I decided to double up and buy some Boots sticks. I also didn't want to miss my positive and my cycles have been as short as 25 days and as long as 31 so I decided to start using as soon as AF was gone. I started on CD8 and did a Boots one at lunchtime (after saving up pee for 4 hours) and I did an IC in the evening at 7pm ish?

I got the first line on CD10 (but still negative result) and then a positive (ie same colour test and control lines) on CD11. Then weaker line on CD12, even weaker still on CD13. No line at all on CD14.

Sparkle, how many dpo are you? I don't like opks for detecting a bfp, have you got an hpt?

Ladies that temp, do you do it in celcius or Fahrenheit? Does it matter? I guess you see the rise just the same.

I don't think i can take the heartache of a negative, got a lovely weekend planned and want to enjoy myself

Right ladies, I'm a beauty therapist - massage while TTC is absolutely fine. During the first 14 weeks massage is a no no completely. After that massage is allowed. Essential oils should be avoided unless it's a specific blend suitable. Pressure should be light as deep massage can cause ligament damage. We do a nurturing massage for mums to be which is lovely and clients love it!

Basically it should be avoided because you are potential moving toxins that are released from the muscles around the body. It also increases circulation. When your pregnancy is in it's early stages it's delicate so best advise I would give Sunbathing - especially with your recent mc is to avoid and ask for a facial. Pressure point massage should also be avoided.

Right ladies Im freaking out right now and probably for no reason but I need some advise.

The scan for clomid is supposed to be carried out just before you ovulate so that they can see how many eggs and be produced, if there are to many they tell you not to try as there is to much risk.
I called yesterday to book my scan in and they didnt give me a date till today. The only day they can do it is day 15 and therefore I should have already ovulated (even though the doc told the receptionist this is fine).
So what if the tablets over stimulate me and I end up with loads of eggs and I dont know, I cant not try up until that time because ill miss ovulation.
Argh what do I do?????
