Clear blue ovulation, peak fertility twice in 3 weeks after coil taken out!?

I had my coil removed about 3 weeks ago and as I have not had an AF since I have been using clear blue ovulation monitoring to see if I have had any peak fertility days.

According to the monitor I had one about 5 days after I had coil removed, then days of low fertility and then I tested again today and it was back to peak fertility again!

I'm a bit confused as to what is going on!? Anyone have any suggestions?

We are dtd on a regular basis and not solely relying on clear blue.

A coil doesn't stop ovulation or fertilisation, it just stops the egg from implanting in the lining of the uterus (depends on the coil though as some give off hormones).

If you were dtd during your last fertile days then maybe the test this time is showing your pregnant not ovulating. Someone tell me if I'm wrong but I thought ovulation sticks can detect pregnancy too so maybe that's what it's doing? I might be completely wrong about that though eek!

Hi there. Apologies if I'm off the mark here, but I'm not sure you have been using the OPK properly (if it's the clearblue dual hormone one). As soon as you get peak you are supposed to stop testing. It will automatically show peak for two days and you aren't supposed to use the same holder for at least 3 days (ideally not again til your next cycle).

You then have to make sure you get the flashing new test indicator before using it again (which will only come up after 3 days of no use after getting a peak). Then you will definitely get a blank circle before the process can start again. (first test is always blank circle no matter whether your hormones are truly low/high/peak, because all it's doing is simply recording that particular day's hormones as your baseline - any future flashing smileys etc are all in reference to that baseline test hormone level, and hence the need to ensure you start testing on the right day of your cycle, and why you wouldn't normally test again that same cycle after getting your peak).

Hi Smidge, do not think you are off the mark, I do have the flashy smiley one so what your saying makes sense. I will re read instructions later! Either way I now have to wait for AF to show or not to know anything further ! Thank you!
