A little background - We have a 16 month old DS who took 2 years to conceive. We were weeks away from starting IVF when we found out I was PG. I have a low AMH and DH has a low sperm volume.
Cut to now we are TTC. I didn't want to rush into fertility investigations or IVF so I've started having fertility acupuncture. My acupuncturist has suggested I see him on day 1-2 of my period, the day I ovulate and then a couple of days after ovulation. So far I've never managed to see him on the day of ovulation due to holidays/work. Until this month. This month I managed to see him on the day I ovulate. A normal appointment with perhaps a few more needles, I commented on this and he said he was 'just going off my pulses'. When the appointment was over and I went to pay, the lady taking my payment, who i'd never seen before, asked if i'd like to make another booking. I said 'not just yet' and then my acupuncturist said 'no she doesn't need one'. I laughed and he said 'no trust me you don't need one '. So lots of googling later I've found out acupuncturists can tell if you are pg by your pulses. So, one mad leap forward - does he know something I don't?? I'm 4dpo so a long way ahead but this is going round in my head. My DH thinks it's hocus pocus so I've no one to wonder with. What do you wise women think?

Slangy thing is possible, but also anyone's guess unfortunately.

You'll be 10dpo now right? Have you taken a test? Sometimes it can show up this early, it's worth a cheapy test Wink

Fingers crossed for you x

Erm.... Blush

I meant anything is possible.

Not sure what happened!!

uptheauntie · 12/10/2014 19:26

So, are you?!

sleepysleepy · 12/10/2014 19:26

Sounds cranky. But, I'm place marking incase its true. Good luck!

LizzieMint · 12/10/2014 19:30

But if you saw him on the day you ovulated, you wouldn't be pregnant then anyway? Confused
Even if the egg fertilises on the day it's released, it can still take 4 days to travel down and implant, so up until that point, you are not pregnant, there's no difference in your body or hormones.

Yes I thought it sounded like a load of cobblers - I'm definitely clutching at straws.

I guess I could POAS now. I usually wait until I'm late to avoid excessively POAS!

I POAS this morning using a Boots cheapie and it was a BFN Hmm.

So if Boots can't detect it how could a flaming acupuncturist - argh how annoying.

I been seeing him for a couple of months and it's the first time he's said something like that. That's why I started to believe it. Fingers crossed I just tested too early! Will try again later in the week.
