First Response faint pink line only at the edges

Hi ladies. Just wanted to ask advice if anyone has had a bfp following a frer test that was v v faint pink at the edges. It showed up well after the 10 minutes as I only checked again when I returned home from work. Has this happened to anyone before and then they've gone on to be pregnant? What do you think?

Maybe it was an evaporation line.
Only way to be sure is to retest in a few days xx

That does sound like it's an evap line, mainly because it was so long after the time limit.

Now without sounding like a complete loon I inspected my FRER test after it looked like a bfn last week. I used my iPhone torch and put it right behind it, as I moved the test over the light there seemed to be a dark shadow where the line would be for a BFP, when I moved it in certain angles I could see a hint of a pink line (and I mean a hint, it took a few mins of focusing to see anything and even then it was only for a few seconds before I got line eye). I only did this because although it looked like a bfn I could see that shadow ever so slightly. I examined that test for 2 days before I took another (I also had an old bfn I compared it to) which was a BFP.

I don't want to give you false hope but evaps are quite rare with these tests, if something seems odd about it I'd inspect it closely and then do another test in a day or so.

Frustrating times, I hope you get your BFP!

Thanks both. I will test again tomorrow but the waiting is unbearable as I'm sure you know. Attached is a photo of the test, I took it out of the holder so you can see it more clearly. I took it 8 hrs after doing the test so as you said, prob evap lines.

Hi. Update: I tested again this morning after waiting 2 days and I got a very clear BFP. Perhaps the first one was an evap or perhaps a vvvv faint line. Thanks again for helping. Smile

I can see it @Pinkblossom10 I used that test too and got this result... I've not re tested since. I can't decide if mine is a line or not?! Good luck!

@LinzLinz thank you! I just showed it to a doctor friend of mine and she said she could see it but very faint. She told me to retest again next week using the same brand so that I can compare. GOOD LUCK TO YOU TOO 💕

I too did the same thing as Beckyrose, exact same situation. I was googling evap lines for First Response!! I'm waiting until Thursday to do another test.

Morning. Can I jump on the wagon too? Tested first thing, 2 days pre-AF which I'm annoyed at myself for doing. I had a positive test last month for just over a week and then AF came 8days late :( so I'm a bit emotional about this test. Can you see a line or am I imagining it?
