We started TTC recently in that we've decided we want a baby together, I had a Depo end of June so would have been due to have next one about 2-3 weeks ago but didn't go for it obviously. It was the only one I've had this time round, pre Depo my cycle was pretty regular at about 28-30 days.

DP and I have decided it will probably take a while for my body to start ovulating again given that lots of people find delays in their fertility returning after stopping Depo. So we're not expecting to see BFP's any time soon - though it would be nice to happen sooner rather than later (yes, I'm mrs impatience!!) We also said we wouldn't get into dtd only at certain times of my cycle and just enjoy ourselves as often as possible!!

Anyway, for some daft reason, I decided to pee on an Ovulation predictor stick this morning expecting nothing and realising it would be miraculous to be ovulating this soon. Look what I got......

Is that really possible so soon after Depo?

How likely is this?

Hello!
With ovulation strips for it to be positive the testing line has to be as dark as the control line as you always have a bit of the hormone in your body!
It is possible for your fertility to return quickly, but it can take up to a year... Just keep DTD every 2-3 days :)

Thanks Butterflycats, I hadn't realised about the lines having to be the same darkness as each other to be positive. A few months back I did tests regularly through my cycle to see how they worked and found I went from only the control line to two lines over a few days then back to just the control line.

The one in the picture was the same brand so I thought I'd managed to pick just the 'right' point in what would be my first cycle post Depo!!

Not that I'm going to get hung up on it as we're aware it will probably take time given I'm only a couple of months off my 43rd birthday!!
