I don't really know why I'm posting this but just wanted to tell someone and not someone in real life (if you know what I mean) after 14 months of trying after a mmc I got my much longed for BFP yesterday and all I did different this month was take soy isoflavones after seeing some good success stories on mumsnet, and well it worked!! So don't lose hope ladies it will happen Grin

Wow! English thank you so much! That is incredibly useful, tells you everything you need to know! I will definitely be purchasing some of these Smile On cd16 today so will have to wait a couple of weeks, but good luck ladies, let's let one another know how we get on!

Just been reading up on it, there are a lot of success stories out there thanks to soy! I did come across some articles that said not to take it if you have regular cycles and ovulate on your own though, my cycles vary from 23 to 29 days, usually around 27 days, and I get a positive opk every cycle around cd17. Do you think I should still take them? Maybe if I took them on the later days to improve the egg quality rather than boost ovulation? I know I said it can't hurt after all this time but I would be annoyed if it just gave me a really long cycle instead and further delayed my chances!!

Bobsy have you felt any side effects at all? What day are you on now?

BobsyBoo · 05/10/2014 23:49

No side affects at all Gingerbread for my past 2 cycles I've ovulated on CD20 but previous to that my cycles were usually from 29-35 days.

I took it on cycle days 3-7 & I'm now on CD12, but I've since discovered Ive not taken enough, the tablets I've got are only 40mg & it also says 1 a day on the pack so never thought about needing a higher dose.

EnglishGirlsReturned · 06/10/2014 13:59

I think the one a day recommendation is for menopausal women and that's why you only take the higher dose for a few days when TTC.

Ginger I'd maybe say take the lowest dose (100mg)and take them days 3-7 or 4-8. That way it shouldn't alter ov day, just give a nice healthy, strong egg.

Ginger, I have regular cycles and I've been taking soy from cd3-8 to try and improve egg quality. I took 100mg for 2 days and then150mg for 2days and 200mg on the final day. It didn't change me cycle but I did have a very strong line on an opk
