As most on here know we?ve been ttc for nearly 18 months now without success. Dh has been diagnosed with a low sperm count so I have pretty much resigned myself to the fact that it?s not going to happen. However, since we started ttc I have, as most do, had sore boobs every month at around the time that af is due, well usually about 5 days before. However, over the past couple of months I?ve noticed that my boobs have become sore earlier and earlier into my cycle, but af hasn?t been arriving any earlier. I?m on cd18 today and my boobs are so sore I can?t touch them, esp on the right side. Has anyone ever experienced this? Does anyone know what this could be?

wannabe, I too have noticed that for the past couple of months I have had sore boobs from ovulation. In fact it has become a sign of ovulation because they start hurting on the day. Last month my dp did the 'tit test' (ahem) and from really early on (I mean a day or two post ov) said they felt like full hot water bottles, and from my point of view they felt very sensitive. It seems to lessen a day or two before AF, as if the lowering of progesterone is a factor.
I don't know why it happens or what it means though. I have been trying since January and things seem to have changed over the last 2/3 months. The trouble is that I didn't really watch my cycle or symptoms before ttc this time, so it could have happened before then but I would have been unaware.

That's not much help is it - I just didn't want you to think you were all alone in this and talking to yourself.

wasn't going to post anymore but had to put something on here.

I have had exact same symptoms as you both for last couple of months. Started after I finished on course of chlomid.

The only other thing that happened was my fsh shot up to 20 for the months that my boobs got sore almost straight after ov. Get yours checked out if you havent already.

That's interesting Dizzy - although slightly frightening too. I did have fsh measured this month and it was 10.2, so it is raised.
Except this month I haven't had any boob tenderness at all, and I am 9 dpo now.

A fsh level of around 10 is fine

if you normally get sore boobs after ovulation (its the increase in progestrone that causes it) and you have a month of no sore boobs could mean you didn't ovulate that month or maybe even be preg!
