TTCing while breastfeeding

DD is 10 months and we've decided to TTC DC2. I haven't had a period yet and my OPKs are confusing.

The OPKs seem to darken then lighten at random intervals but never actually seem to be a full positive. Is it possible I'm still not ovulating?

I've cut down feeding DD so she has her last feed around 7pm and she isn't fed again until 6am.

I stopped bfeeding when DC was 8 months and my period didn't come back until I fully stopped breastfeeding. I am no expert but I was under the impression that unless you have a period I don't think you can be ovulating.

Can your DD take the bottle? If so maybe cut down to one bf (and one bottle) and she if that's enough to kick start your period?

I've EBF but my periods came back 6 weeks pp
I think it's possible you haven't ovulated yet. You always have LH present, the level just changes.

I think I want to have my cake and eat it. I'd like to keep bfing and TTCing!

I started taking my temperature this morning as I guess that'll help give me an idea of what's going on.

I'm introducing more formula now so hopefully that'll trigger a period.
