I am bipolar 1 i am starting to ttc after mc this will be dc4. I take three medications one is sodium valproate which I am going to stop as it causes neural tube defects. Can someone explain what those are please?
I take olanzapine which increases risk of hyper or hypo tonia and baby having difficulties breathing. I am remaining on this medication but dropping it.
I also take clonazepam which I am stopping.
Dh has said I may only ttc as long as I remain in good mental health.
I am also b12 and folic acid deficient so I have made sure I am taking those vitamins in high doses. 1000mg b12 and 5 mg folic acid.
Just wondering if anyone has any advice really?
