TTC first time - after cerazette

Hi everyone,
I'm Tammi, 27 & I'm totally new to mumsnet and I was hoping to find out other peoples experiences of coming off Cerazette pill and TTC & success stories.
So me and my partner of 7years have decided to go for it! Finally! Haha.
I was taking Cerazette for about 5/6 years with no periods. I decided to come off the pill the start of June this year. After 5 weeks Of nothing along Mother Nature came. Honestly I had forgotten what it was like haha! Felt like a 13year old again. Anyway, surprisingly it wasn't bad at all, no real pains or anything. Ive read so many horror stories about women coming off Cerazette and it taking a long time to conceive and I guess it's worrying me.
I'm being a good pre-mummy, stopped smoking 4 months ago, very rarely drink, I have a good exercise routine and eat really healthy. Oh and I take pre-natals daily for optimum goodness!
I'm driving myself a little crazy with reading things up online.
I guess I'm just looking for some reassurance and people to talk too.

I have been off Cerezette nearly 4 weeks and today was the first day I have had any sort of bleeding.... Hate to give too much info but never mind.
So far I have had : increased appetite, tender boobs, spots, and sadly some bloating and gas. I too am taking a pre pregnancy supplement too but feel really sick afterwards. How are you doing now?

See when I came off, I lost my appetite.
I've had really on the dot cycles since coming off. Using a tracker on my phone and like I said they are on the button. 12 days to go until next bleed is due soooo fingers crossed for some good luck this time!!
The pre-preg tabs haven't had any effect of me really.

I've been on cerazette for several years, I had a 5 month break (not TTC) a few years ago and had 24 day cycles. I came off again in sept 2012, one period (24 day cycle) and fell pregnant in October 2012...
She's a full of beans 15 month old Smile

Yep definitely experiencing a normal period. Feeling quite tense, like I want to sit on the loo and my chin is the sportiest it's been in years but considering I stopped my pill on 9th September I am happy that it's here
How are you all getting on?

Since stopping the pill in June, I've too had breakouts of spots and I never get them. My mood has been up & down but not too bad really.
I'm still driving myself mad reading things online though. Anything from early signs of pregnancy to taking years to conceive after cerazette.
Really trying not to get stressed out about it though.

I stopped in August with my last pill on 21st and not had a proper period yet.

Also 27 and been on cerazette about 5 years with microgynon before that.

Hi don't be put off by the stories of cerazette! ! I was on cerazette pill for 3 years straight after I had my daughter. I didn't get periods at first but then got regular 28 day cycle whilst still taking the pill. I came off the pill TTC baby number 2 as felt this was a nice age gap. I had my last period on the 30th July lasted 7 days. I came off the pill around 2 weeks after this and tried to conceive I haven't had a period since and thought it was a side affect of the pill as heard bad stories.i tested 3 times and got bfn last week but had lots of pregnancy symptoms. A still did not arrive and my partner kept telling me I was pregnant as I'd changed lol. Well took 2 test this morning and got 2 faint bfps! Not only has this happened so quick but I haven't even had a period I had slight pink discharge a few weeks ago maybe implantation bleed only lasted 2 hours and only when wiped (tmi) Don't give up hope of getting a bfp after this pill and I'd you think your pregnant you probably are baby dust to you all Smile

emmalouise congratulations on your bfp!! And thanks for sharing, it has actually made me feel a bit better.
AF is due next Friday so still have a wait but I'm driving myself mad symptom spotting haha. Bloated, pinchy cramping lower abdo (which I never get even with AF) boobs are killing me and just feel "different".
I'm really trying to not get my hopes up though.

Thank u tammisaurus hopefully you'll get bfp! Because I never had a period after stopping I was testing thinking I was going insane at least you have an af to follow :) I've read on forums that it's quite common to catch fairly quickly after being on the pill I thought it would take maybe a year but literally been weeks I convinced myself I wasn't so fingers crossed for u hun. Hope to hear u have your positive soon have fun trying :) xxx

I had been on cerezette for years since dd1 (previously was microgynon) and came off the pill in preparation of ttc in June when I remarried. I had three periods and then the one time we didn't use contraception the week before the wedding, I fell pregnant! Couldn't believe how quickly it happened, id been on the pill for best part of 13 years and am 37 so thought it might take me months and months to fall but no! Am now 20 weeks and baby kicking like mad. Good luck! X

I conceived DD1 about 3 months after coming of cerezette and was amazingly still taking it when I conceived DD2 so I wouldn't worry too much. Best of luck x

Wow, its so good to hear all these positive stories. Fingers crossed I get my BFP this month!
Before coming on here everyone was telling me horror stories about how long it takes but I feel so much better now.

I was on it for 10 years - never had a period. I conceived 5 weeks after coming off it. I'd read all the horror stories online too and was convinced it would take years! Good luck xxx

I came off cerazette in June with plans with the other half to ttc but still no sign of period!!!! Went to drs but got fobbed off until its been 6 months........ Feeling pretty low! Would never go back onto the pill, annoying how you get told missing 1 makes you pg but i cant even get rid of it out of my system! So thought id share on here & see what others are going through?
