I just did a pregnancy test a few minutes ago
It was a mid stream urine test - ones like you get in the doctors.

I got a strong line in one window (negative line)
But also a horizontal line in the positive window..faint.. and fading even now..

Im about due my period around now.. and we did have sex around the time i probably ovulated.

Please can anyone advise me?

I'd say it sounds like a positive to me.

Try again tomorrow and see..

Good luck

LOL

Its gone now ... it was definately there though.
Totally freaked out now!
The tests i used are GP tests a friend managed to get for me as she works for a doctor. so there arent any instructions
Do you think it couldve been a false positive and now its showing the negative.. or ... argh .. i dunno maybe i should just check in the morning.. Yikes how the hell can i wait till then

I agree with saf1. I once had a line that was so faint you really had to squint to see it, and I wondered if it was really there at all. But ut was......
Testing again tomorrow sounds like a good plan.

but do you think that the fact that the line is gone now means that its a negative?
Sorry to ask these questions - its been three years since ive been in this position!

i would check 2morrow but try using a first response test cause they are very good and try testing first thing in the morning. how long have you been ttc for ?

Hi, If it was me and my period was due I'd be on my way to the shops now to get another brand with instructions... But then I've always been an impatient bugger

Janus · 27/09/2006 13:10

Agree with rachelrose, I'd be straight down to the nearest chemist and get the leading brand. I remember first time I tested twice, within an hour of eachother and both positive and both in the evening (just making sure!!) so no need to wait until tomorrow!

That happened to me once and I know the test you mean as we use them in the hospital I work at. It was - for me but try again tomorrow xx
