Over here all breastfeeding TTCers! Welcome to our thread - a place for us to come for support, information and to talk about the extra challenges of TTC while still breastfeeding.

Seeing as I filled up the old thread I thought I should start the new one!

For anyone who is new to the thread or needs a reminder, here are a few links to some useful websites (thanks Waiting for putting these together). I hope I've worked the links properly.

Frolic acid would be better! Sounds like you need to get frolicking austra.

peardrop2 · 28/01/2015 13:57

Eek Austra! Wink

australopithecus · 28/01/2015 14:02

I know right!!! Frolic acid in the cards tonight!!!!!
I hope it turns into a total positive though. It's still fainter than the control line, but much darker than the lines from the last week. Will do another opk tonight. dead nervous

hideandsqueak · 28/01/2015 16:38

Whilst DS was having a 2 and a half hour nap (!) I caved and did an IC test. BFN of course!

In other news did anyone ever notice that EBM could stand for expressed breast milk OR evidence based medicine

peardrop2 · 28/01/2015 23:01

IC test?

hideandsqueak · 29/01/2015 02:59

Internet cheapie!

australopithecus · 29/01/2015 05:37

Emb? Every month a bleed? Empty mobile bladder?
Last night DC woke up screaming for an unknown reason (although I suspect teeth or the fact that I didn't bother burping after the last bottle ) after only an hour of sleep and we could do nowt to ease it. Except bf. There goes my night time non-bfeeding routine obviously. Angry Sad
At least we DTD in the blind hope I ovulated yesterday.

hideandsqueak · 29/01/2015 08:23

Austra we need to discover when it is in our cycle not to BF to make a difference. On the 2ww now I suspect it makes no difference. But when I am around ovulation next month I might try a few dry 24 hours to see if that helps.. It's just tricky when things like teething pops up your poor DC.

This morning my DS rejected my boobs completely in favour of brioche and a glass of water so I'm thinking of dropping the morning feed. Unless you class 3am as a morning feed...

peardrop2 · 29/01/2015 14:18

Hello, I've arrived back from selfish self pity...when will it be my turn land?!! Smile Why today you ask? Well, this morning a friend of mine who is pregnant (already with one child same age as my DS) is in mega boasting mode that she is 35 weeks pregnant and wants to tell the world that she's coming to an end Envy So, naturally I am happy that she's happy but inside I'm saying please stop!!, I can't even get pregnant again let alone reach the end!!! So I have a choice to either go into deep self pity mode or come out of my cave! Currently CD11, new cbfm sticks currently in the post and I'm about to order conceive plus.

This thread has been dry long enough. Let's make some babies!!!!! Who's with me?

Well done with the brioche and water! I'm just wondering how you ladies are still managing to feed in the night. I had to stop at 10 months...just couldn't have broken sleep any longer Blush

peardrop2 · 29/01/2015 14:23

Oh and I'm making no plans next weekend. Nobody is going to with my TTC plan. Starting early after this weekend...all guns blazing ??

peardrop2 · 29/01/2015 14:23

mess

peardrop2 · 29/01/2015 14:34

Damnit. Conceive plus is sold out on boots and Superdrug site. Can I trust Amazon? Hmmm Hmm

peardrop2 · 29/01/2015 14:38

Oh that's interesting. Just seen that boots and superdrug no longer sell Conceive plus but Lloyds Pharmacies still do. The change happened in Nov 2014. I still have a bottle from when I conceived DS but given that was nearly 2 years a go I figured I should probably buy another bottle Blush

MarysPrayer · 29/01/2015 14:44

Can I join you please? Smile

We've just decided to ttc #2 , dd is 2.3 and is still bf 1st thing (7am) and last thing (8pm) and maybe once more (pre-nap) during the day if I'm not at work. AF returned around 8 months pp (lucky me Confused) but cycles vary between 26 and 30 days.

Got some IC OPKs last month but no joy as AF arrived 3 days ago. I think we were a bit late dtd though. Gonna make more of an effort this month.

peardrop2 · 29/01/2015 15:50

Welcome Mary Smile

peardrop2 · 29/01/2015 15:51

Mary ~ how long did it take you to conceive Dc1?

MarysPrayer · 29/01/2015 16:21

Hi peardrop. We were very lucky 1st time around - dd was conceived on the first attempt. I'm three years older now though (late 30s) so not expecting the same luck this time. How about you?

(Sorry I haven't managed to read all of the thread yet - still catching up!)

peardrop2 · 29/01/2015 16:47

Mary ~ it took 4 months last time. We're heading into month 3 now. I'm 32.

hideandsqueak · 29/01/2015 18:31

Hi Mary! My DS is 15 months and feeds 2-3 daytime and at least once over night. It took us one cycle last time so we were lucky. On cycle 3 now of properly trying... Got my periods back about 6 months ago.

Pear I think I am just used to getting up in the night now and usually it is just the once so isn't too bad. I sleep in increments of 4 hours but it's enough to feel alright.. Thankfully.

Someone needs to get a BFP
Soon... Or I will start believing that this is impossible!!

hideandsqueak · 29/01/2015 18:31

What's conceive plus ?

australopithecus · 30/01/2015 11:30

Hi mary nice to see you here (too)!
I do think we need some good news from someone too!
I have had these near-positive OPKs for two days now but obviously according to the instructions it doesn't count because it is faint and also because you can surge LH for like 56hrs in a row, but according to everyone around here it does? So just feeling despondent. And the vacuum cleaner broke and I'm just feeling a little off colour. Achy all over, so thinking I'm getting a cold.
Luckily DC woke up last night but put self back to sleep again after a bit of moaning but without crying, and so "almost" went through until five from nine.
And I want it to be warmer.
Sorry, I'll stop moaning now.
Happy weekend everyone! May you be fertile!

australopithecus · 30/01/2015 11:32

doesn't count because it is faintER and also because you can'T* surge LH for like 56hrs in a row.
Fecking phone. Angry

Sad
hideandsqueak · 30/01/2015 11:48

I'm considering temping but not sure it's possible with being up in the night... DS ended up in our bed last night chomping from left to right and back again like a crazed thing.

Sigh.

australopithecus · 30/01/2015 12:04

Grin at minihideandsqueek chomping around the bed.

hideandsqueak · 30/01/2015 13:23

Austra I find the opks really confusing as well. I thought the line HAD to be dark or as dark to mean anything? Or does it vary with brand of test...
