Anyone got a BFP from have sex 2/3 days before Ovulation?

The title says it all really, been busy and only managed to bd 2 days before ovulation would love to hear if there have been any BFP's from someone who has done the same or should i throw the towel in now and wait for AF ready for next month?

Oh definitely yes. That's what the CM does is keep it there and keep it alive. I have read that they can live in fertile CM for 48 hours, but I have also read that they can live for up to 5 days. You've certainly still got grounds for hope.

When I got pregnant with dd we were not trying, although I was watching my cycle. We did it once, 5 days before ovulation, when dp ejaculated. We did it again on the day of ovulation but dp didn't ejaculate (he was on anti-depressants and they can affect ejaculation) so we called it off. I always wonder which one of those tries was successful for us because they both seem so unlikely...oh those were then days when I fell pregnant easily...

Thanks rubles, we did use pre seed as i am on clomid and that dries up CM so there is still a glimmer of hope for me.

Medical professionals feel free to correct me but I have hear that girl sperm can live for some time - up to 4/5 days - apparently boy sperm are quicker but die off sooner. So yes, it is possible but more likely to be a girl. I seem to recall that having BD 4/5 days before ovulation is suggested if you want a girl for this reason (could be old wives tale mind you)

I deliberately did it at this point because I thought I'd have more chance of getting a girl as the boys sperm die out early and the girl sperms plod on.

I got pregnant twice this way. I had two boys.

Just curious! Have sex 2 days before ovulation and on ovulation, who got pregnant and what was the gender?

BD on Monday and ovulated on Thursday when we had our daughter! Can be up to 5 days before! Fingers crossed for you! X
