Trying to concieve... After depo injection

Hello, I'm 20 years old and have been off the injection for around 10 months now... my and my boyfriend have recently decided to try for a baby, I've had irregular, but mainly monthly periods, this last one seems to be the most normal period I've had when comparing them to the ones I got before depo... Do you think I will be ovulating and able to concieve? I've heard horror stories of people who have miscarried when trying to concieve too early after depo... Also, is there anything else that I could to boost my fertility and ensure I am doing the best for a future baby? Like my diet for example. I'm all new to this so sorry for loads of questions just really excited to start trying!

Hi Jadey,

I was on the depo for 10 years and it took 8 months for my periods to come back.

We started TTC 1 A little while after that.

After a year of nothing happening we went to the gp and we found out I was ovulating even though my periods were regular at 28 days.

The only way you can definitely tell if your ovulating is temping or blood tests. I cant do temping because I wake up to often but alot of women do.

You could also use a phone app to track your cycles and note literally everything because it is helpful further down the line.

On normal terms start taking folic acid, eat healthy and exercise.

I cut out alcohol I only have it rarely and I cut down on tea only have 1 cup 2 at the most.

Make sure your dp is doing the best he can to, a multivitamin might be good or him, no really hot baths or keeping a laptop on his lap (gets his boys to hot).

Good luck!

I just came on to ask a question about TTC after stopping Depo injections.

I'm a lot older than the OP (43 soon) and my DP and I have decided that we're not going to do anything to stop conception happening. I was due my Depo last week but have not booked in for it. I've ordered a job lot of OP test strips from Amazon and will plot my cycles as and when they happen to get an idea of when I'm ovulating.

Good luck OP xx
